She is crying fowl because the Israeli Navy used force to prevent her from entering Gaza by yacht. McKinney and 14 of her fellow wackjobs tried to bypass a Israeli Navy blockade and enter a war zone to provide supplies to the Palestinians. She had planned to travel to Beirut to conduct media interviews as part of the Palestinian propaganda machine. Stupid is as stupid does. McKinney in a "nutshell:" McKinney is the former US Representative who in April of 2006 tried to push her way pass Capital Police without showing her ID then assaulted the Capital Police officer who stopped her. She screamed racism. McKinney stated in 2002 that 9-11 was a conspiracy by President Bush. McKinney claimed the Nation Guard, following Hurricane Katrina, executed 5000 prisoners and secretly buried their bodies in a Louisiana swamp. McKinney claimed "jew money" led to her Primary defeat in 2006. McKinney ran for President in 2008 as the Green Party Candidate. McKinney recently visited Cuba and met with Raul Castro (an illegal act for a civilian.) McKinney was prevented from boarding a plane bound for Syria by Homeland Security on November 23, 2008. McKinney is on the Homeland Security terrorist watch list. I say we let her visit those friendly folks, and stay as long as possible, hopefully forever. 12-28-2008 The Israeli military is pounding Hamas in an attempt to stop the rocket attacks that have persisted despite an Egyptian bartered "cease fire." Hamas, which is basically an extension of the Iranian government, is vowing to respond with suicide bombers(sounds a bit like Al-Qaida). The White House has come out in support of Israel and condemned Hamas. The Arab world, most notably Iran, has blasted the "Israeli aggression." The United Nations and the European Union are demanding an immediate cease fire. The normally outspoken and opinionated Barack Obama has said.....hmmm. What has he said? Nothing, not a peep out of the guy. The man who has promised he would "fix" US foreign policy is vacationing in Hawaii and apparently just too busy to be bothered with such trivial details. Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't find any comment from him anywhere in the press. Let's see, "Obama spends morning at Gym", "Obama daughters cause stir at Mall", "Obama looks Buff at the Beach", did I miss something? Maybe Joe "open-mouth-insert-foot" Biden will take a stand? No, seems like they're keeping old "Anchor Joe" under wraps lately. Please, don't even try to tell me Barack's staying quiet because it would be inappropriate for him to comment, that surely hasn't stopped him before. No, he's been very outspoken on Iraq, Afghanistan, The Big 3, Guantanamo, Wall Street Bailout, Gay Marriage, Taxes, etc, etc, etc What then? Is it the classic Clinton move of waiting for the opinion polls before commenting? Conferring with trusted foreign policy advisors before commenting? Maybe he had some chest stubble and needed a wax before the press conference? The unfortunate truth is, Barry doesn't have a clue. Being a community organizer and legal counsel for ACORN just didn't prepare him for the realities of world affairs. The sheep faithfully marched to the polls to elect this empty suit, despite the warnings of his inexperience, and now we will pay a heavy price. Instead of Hope & Change maybe it should have been Shallow & Inept. It's gonna be a long 4 years folks. 12-26-2008 Welcome to the New Green America. Al Gore, inventor of the Internet and renowned wind bag, will be hosting a "Green Ball" to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama. Yes, all the food will be organic, beverages will be locally sourced, and the lighting scheme will be environmentally friendly; whatever that means. Al is assuring everyone that they will purchase carbon offsets to cover their carbon footprint. Right, and I suppose everyone will be riding their bicycle to the ball? Will Al make the journey on his private jet as he usually does? How about Tipper, they often fly separately, each on their OWN private jet. What about all those other 'greenies' that will be attending, Hybrids all around I assume? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be a lot more eco-friendly to not have this Ball at all? Maybe they should all just stay home and watch on TV. No wait, TV uses ALOT of electricity, possibly generated by burning coal! Maybe they could just have a Web party? No, still burning too much electricity. Here's a thought, if they're TRUELY dedicated to saving the planet, here's a great way for them to lead by example. A quiet evening at home, eat some organic locally grown grass, turn off the heat, turn off the lights, and sit quietly in their compost pile. Now tell me what could be greener than that? 12-22-2008 The incoming Obama Administration,along with Congressional Democrats, are now working hard to lower public expectations. How typical. They ran on the promise that they were going to fix the economy and everything else right away, just get them into power. Remember just a short 2 years ago, Pelosi promised if we elected Dems into Congress they would end the war in Iraq, lower gas prices, and help "hard working Americans who are struggling." Well, what exactly happened? The housing market collapsed, gas went over $4, we escalated the Iraq war, and unemployment has soared. Hmmm...I wonder why they're now trying to lower your expectations of Hope & Change? The Dems have blasted the Bush Administration over the $700 Billion bailout (that they drafted and voted for), but now they want $800 Billion to $1 Trillion ready for Barack on Jan. 20th. But what if it doesn't work? They must lower your expectations now, because there won't be anyone left to blame. They will control the Executive and Legislative branches. If the bailout doesn't work, who's fault will it be? Bush-Cheney? No, they will be gone. Congress? No, that's controlled by Democrats. Yikes! Sounds like they're in a bit of a pickle. Expect them to quickly create a new "Bad Guy" to draw your attention away from the facts.
12-20-2008 The final weekend before Christmas, GM & Chrysler opened their presents early, but they aren't the only ones. It's kind of ironic that Congress has been demanding CEO's take no pay for the year, pay cuts for Union and Management and no dividend checks for share holders, then they voted themselves a raise! Yes, the brave protectors of the people, those who have so selflessly devoted their lives to public service, those who really feel the pain of the suffering masses, just gave themselves a nice raise. A $4700 raise actually, at a cost of $2.5 million to the taxpayers. You may be wondering why you haven't heard this. The biased media buried this story pretty deep, after all it would be difficult to blame Republicans for this since the Dems control both houses. Oh, and by the way, reporters and photographers for the Associated Press are currently threatening to strike if they don't get a 10% raise. It would seem awfully hypocritical of them to criticize Congress for their raise, when they are demanding one themselves. Still trust the media? 12-19-2008 Happy Friday! Barack Obama has yet again picked more Clinton insiders. Mary Schapiro will chair the Securities and Exchange Commission, Gary Gensler as the chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission & Dan Tarullo will fill an empty seat on the Federal Reserve Board. All three of these folks were aides in the Clinton administration. How again is this change? Obama says the Bush Administration has been "asleep at the switch", but these folks were in power during the Nasdaq collapse. Has everyone forgotten the Dot Com bubble? Who was asleep at the switch then? 12-18-2008 Global Warming. The Ice Caps are melting, the Polar Bears are facing extinction, Indiana will soon be Ocean Front property! Hmmm....so why is it snowing in Vegas, California, Oklahoma, Kentucky, and Tennessee? Why is 2008 the coolest year since 1998? Is Global Warming just on Vacation? Oh, NOW they tell us it's Climate Change, caused by Global Warming. Hogwash! Back in the 1970's scientists warned us of the impending Ice Age, and a huge hole in the Ozone Layer; what ever happened to that? Then Al Gore came along, invented the Internet and predicted the imminent End of the World (unless everyone immediately buy carbon offsets from one of his many "green" companies.) Now Barack is appointing a cabinet full of tree huggers who will certainly impose "Cap & Trade" policies on US Energy and Manufacturing Companies. Barack has promised to put Coal Burning Power plants out of business and pour Billions into "Green" Technologies. Slapping on big new fees and fines will not help US businesses grow and create new jobs. Pouring Taxpayer money into unproven "Green" technologies will not return economic prosperity to America. People, wake up, they're LYING TO YOU! ps. I've got some beautiful Ocean Front property for sale in Indiana, better hurry, they're going FAST! 12-17-2008 Barack has been named Time Magazine "Person of the Year" UGH. This honor has previously been given to such outstanding individuals as Adolph Hitler in 1938, Joseph Stalin in 1939 & 1942, Ayatullah Khomeini in 1979, and so on. Did you happen to notice that Jay Carney, Washington bureau chief for Time Magazine was just named as Joe Biden's "director of communications?" Hmmm, more political pay backs for the bias media that helped elect this Empty Suit. 12-15-2008 If I hear one more person say how "people are hurting out there" I'm going to go postal! The media has been bombarding the public for several years now with "news" of the coming depression. Repeat a lie enough times & people will take it as fact. Two thirds of our economy is Consumer Spending. If you scare people enough, and they actually stop all or most of their discretionary spending, and they cash out their retirement funds, guess what you get? A recession. Thanks to the media for all they do. When people stop buying, stores close, businesses close, Automakers go bankrupt, the stock market tanks, people get laid off! When consumers stop spending, people will lose their jobs, period. Must be Bush's fault, everything else is, so we better all vote for Hope & Change! Barack will fix it, he'll fix EVERYTHING! I just heard someone say they voted for Barack because he'll save their 401K!?! Can someone please explain that to me? Maybe I'm just dense, but I fail to see how an anti business President will save the stock market. Stock values are based on the value of the corporation and the perceived potential for future growth. Barack campaigned on "taxing those big corporations" and making them "pay their fair share." Higher corporate taxes will reduce a company's net earnings, making them less profitable & less competitive, therefore devaluing their stock. This will make the markets recover how???? This will create jobs how? This will spur the economy how? Sure, the markets will just skyrocket, and if you believe that then you deserve Barack and all the success he will bring you. 12-14-2008 Barack appoints another Clinton insider, how is this Change? Yes, let's pour Billions more into Government housing, Barack's relatives have to have somewhere to live. Speaking of relatives, anyone heard anything more about Obama's illegal alien aunt? Last I knew she was living off the American taxpayer, can we send her back to Kenya yet, if not, why not? She is an illegal alien! 12-13-2008 Another big campaign promise broken? Say it isn't so! Barack campaigned on "transparency in government." Now, just 5 weeks after the election, his Team is hush hush, pending their own "internal" investigation. Call me picky, but that doesn't seem very transparent to me. And what do you think about Barry's stand on the Auto Bailout? Hard to say where he stands isn't it. His campaign screamed coast to coast about the previous bailout deal. Then he supported the auto bailout when it first hit the news, then he backed off when it seemed unpopular, now he's just not saying anything. Seems like "he was for it before he was against it," hmm I thought John Kerry lost the election. When you see those Obama bumper stickers, just point and laugh! 12-12-2008 Stupid is as stupid does. The arrogance of the corrupt left is coming to the surface for ALL to see. Chuck Rangel, William Jefferson, Jesse Jackson Jr, Rod Blagojevich, Barack Obama - till now they have succeeded in diverting attention from themselves by attacking the President, now what will they do? I can't ever remember a President having to circle the wagons before inauguration. And what about all these "people" who have made a living Bush bashing? What will they do now? You know, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Arianna Huffington, Anderson Cooper, Chris Matthews, MSNBC, Saturday Night Live, The View, Rosie O'Donnell and the like. Let's hope they are all lining up for their Unemployment checks! 12-10-2008 Usually I have so much to say that I can't type fast enough, but right now, I still can't stop laughing at the Esteemed Governor Rod Blagojevich. They actually cuffed him! I wonder if he enjoyed the cavity search? So what's next? Rod is dead to rights, there's no getting out of this one, so who's he going to roll on? Stay tuned, I think there's lots more good news ahead! Obama buddy busted! 12-09-2008 HEHEHEHE I apologize, I'm just having trouble controlling my excitement over the arrest of Rod "The Idiot" Blogojevich! As Barack's mentor, the great Rev. Jeremiah Wright said, "The chickens are coming home to roost!" Indeed they are Reverend, indeed they are. Now I know some of you may be having a hard time believing that a Chicago Politician could possibly be involved in corruption, but yes, it appears to be true. Audio from Court approved Federal wiretaps have Blagojevich strong arming the Tribune Co., demanding a Board position for his wife, and attempting to sell Barack's empty Senate Seat in exchange for campaign contributions. We'll have to wait to find out who was trying to buy it, frontrunners for consideration were thought to be Danny Davis & Jesse Jackson Jr. There might be one more twist to this story. Anyone remember Tony Rezko? You know, former fundraiser for Blogojevich & Obama, who is currently in Federal Prision awaiting sentencing for fraud? Think he might be working on a plea deal? Maybe spilling the beans on his old buddies? My guess is he's singing like a bird. Who else might he have the goods on? Dick Durbin? Danny Davis? Jesse Jackson Jr? Dare I say the great messiah Barack himself? Can Barack give out Presidential Pardons before he's in office? PS Can we take down those $9000 tollway signs yet?

12-07-2008 Hold the presses! Barack has announced his economic plan! He's going to spend a ton of Taxpayer money to build bridges, roads, schools, etc.. , but wait, there's more! This great leader, this brilliant 21st century visionary, is going to hire people to install energy saving light bulbs in schools and public buildings! First he tells everyone to inflate their car tires, now energy saving light bulbs! WoW! This guy really IS a deep thinker! That will solve our dependence on foreign oil for sure! Freakin' idiot! How is spending MORE borrowed money going to help the economy? Apparently, this dipstick thinks he's FDR. Great idea, create a bunch of government jobs by INCREASING the deficit. Remember the New Deal, the FDR programs that led to the Welfare state we have now? Here comes the "New Deal" part two, should be called the RAW deal. 12-05-2008 Funny, Barack isn't even in office and is already back peddling on his campaign promises. He's packing his cabinet with the Liberal Loyalists (NOT Change), backing off troop withdrawals (from 4 months to 16 months), backing off killing the Bush tax cuts(from immediately to 2011). He's now saying it will be "rough" through probably 2011...hmmm..isn't that about the time he would start campaigning for re-election? I thought he was gonna fix this right away?!? A lot of losers out there will be really upset when those bills keep coming in the mail. This schmuck hasn't got a clue. Barack is like the dog that chases cars, now he finally caught one and has no idea what to do with it. 12-04-2008 In honor of this "historic" election, our 1st Socialist President, we are proposing an official Conservative Protest day. Conservatives are now clearly a minority in this country, and as such, we demand our "special rights!" Keying a car because it has a conservative bumper sticker should be considered a hate crime! Affirmative action laws must force employers to promote Conservatives ahead of Liberals, after all, it's only fair. We demand our Community Organizers receive Federal Funding equal to that of ACORN! Sounds crazy when you say it that way doesn't it. Barack's 1st day in office, January 21st, 2008, we propose a conservative protest. We are not planning to march in the street like unemployed hippies, only losers do that, no we are a bit more subtle. We propose that unlike the lefties, we will not fill the streets with protestors, instead we will empty the streets of taxpayers. We are proposing ALL Conservatives take one day off from the economy. We the TAXPAYERS, the target of Barack's socialist reform's, will send the left a message. Conservatives, take the day off work and keep the kids home from school. Contribute nothing to the economy; buy nothing, spend nothing. Speak with your wallet; do not buy gas, groceries, do not go to a restaurant, do not shop the Internet. Yes, for one day, stay home and keep your money in your pocket. Spend the day at home with the family, read a book, maybe even talk to each other! Send a message to the great re-distributor, we will fight back. 12-01-2008 Widespread voter fraud, Black Panthers guarding voting sites, Campaign contributions from Illegal Aliens; is this an indication of what's to come? ACORN. A name that comes up frequently every election cycle, then seems to quickly fade from the news. Every election there are wide spread reports of voter fraud, everytime ACORN is involved. Did you realize that ACORN receives much of it funding from the US taxpayer? Barack Obama worked with ACORN as a "Community Organizer" and Legal Counsel. Barry has won the election, with his promise of Change and Hope, and again no one is talking about ACORN. Why not? They did their job! Voter fraud is a crime. ACORN commits crimes. We the taxpayer are funding a criminal enterprise. 11-29-2008 A man leaves his home early in the morning, off to work at Walmart on Black Friday, he will never return home. Why? Because psycho shoppers trampled him to death trying to get to that X-Box or Wii system for their deserving loved ones. What about his family? The word Greed has been tossed around a lot in the media these days, always associated with those Evil Oil Companies, Banks, Insurance Companies, Wall Street, and of course those 'Spawn of the Devil' CEO's. Well, I know I'll get a lot of hate mail for this one, but I'm betting there weren't any CEO's in this Walmart Crowd! Wall Street Executives? I don't think so. People are quick to point out what they consider to be Greed, as long as the finger doesn't point back at them. I can't recall a Banker ever killing anyone for a better rate of return, but every year people are seriously injured Christmas Shopping! Greed can be simply defined as - screw you, ME ME ME! These people killed a man over a game system, or Miley Cyrus back pack, or whatever. Point is, they took a mans life to secure an advantage over someone else, possibly the sickest display of Greed possible. The media constantly calls for the Oil Company's heads, they claim to be standing up for the little guy, but where are they on this? Where is the outrage? Where is the justice? The store should have been locked down till the perpetrators were arrested. Arrested, charged with felony murder, put on trial, convicted, and sent to prison. Prison would be the socially responsible place to send them. There they can associate with like minded "economically disadvantaged," socially disenfranchised," and "repressed voters." To clarify, Obama supporters! Gimme Gimme Gimme, I need, I need, I need! I deserve it! Where's mine? I want what's coming to me! Welcome to the Obama Presidency folks, it's gonna be a long 4 years. 11-28-2008 So Rosie O'Donnell has her own variety show on NBC? Stacked with left wing loonies like Alec Baldwin, Liza Minnelli, and Kathy Griffin, NBC again shows it's true colors. Do they really think we will watch this garbage? Does anyone actually watch the Networks anymore? Is there really any wonder GE stock is tanking? The only thing I can honestly say I've watched on the networks lately is Football, everything else has become so infested with left wing drivel that it's just intolerable. The three networks made it abundantly clear who they supported during this past election, let's make sure they get the reward they deserve, bankruptcy. I'm sure Barack can bail them out too, after all, he owes them big. 11-24-2008 So here come another bailout, this time it's Citigroup looking for a hand out. We are also being promised another $700 Bil stimulus package on Inauguration day! Someone please tell me how giving money to losers who don't work, don't pay taxes, contribute absolutely nothing to society, and suck the life out of our economy; will stimulate the economy? I guess it will help the makers of cheap wine and malt liquor. Maybe we should just start handing out cash and Scratch Off Tickets from Federally Funded soup kitchens! God help us! 11-22-2008 Barry just announced he has a plan to "create" 2.5 million new jobs. Hmmm. Since when is it the government supposed to create jobs? I thought this was a free market society? How exactly, pray tell, does the government create jobs? The promised massive tax increase on American corporations surely won't spur any growth, they certainly won't be adding any new jobs. So where? Federally funded road, school, and bridge projects according to Barry. So taxpayer funded jobs! Gee, what a surprise! Welfare jobs! Bad idea. This has never worked before, so why would it work now? Remember the definition of insanity is doing the same thing again and again and expecting different results. WOW, did I just call the Dems insane.....I guess I did! And where will the money come from? Well you and I the working tax payer of course! That is until they tax our company or employer out of business! Then what? Do these people ever read history? Sorry, I forgot, liberals don't read non-fiction. Late Friday bargain hunting on Wall Street is attributed to Barack? Puulease. Selecting another lifelong governent goober is not "change" nor is it comforting to Wall Street. The man is stacking his cabinet with his campaign buddies, fund raisers, and Clinton administration veterans! How is this Change? Wall Street will not embrace Barry. His views are contrary to capitalism. Capitalism is the very heart of Wall Street. It's gonna be a long hard ride folks. 11-19-2008 Well Well Well. Apparently the market isn't real confident in Barack's plans for the economy. The market has fallen another 400+ points today. Has it occurred to anyone that the Dems have controlled congress for the last 2 years? How about the fact that the current disaster at Fanny May & Freddie Mac is directly tied to the 1995 Community Reinvestment Act? Hmmm 1995 you say? Wonder who was president then? When the Bush Administration tried to address "problems" at Fanny May in 2003, Barney Frank (D) said it was "racist" not to make these loans. Now old Barney is pointing the finger everywhere but where it belongs, at himself. Now with these lenders in collapse you would think Congress would at least attempt to address the cause; well apparently not! I haven't heard anyone calling for a repeal of this billI, I wonder why? I keep hearing the "out cry" to forget the Banks and Wall Street and help the "stuggling home owner." Hogwash! These people should have never gotten a mortgage in the first place! These idiots got crappy ARM's because they had a lousy credit score; translation-they don't pay their bills on time! If you buy a house you can't afford, with 100% financing, or even 125%, or interest only, or an 80-20 loan then add a HELOC, you made a really STUPID move. They signed a legal agreement, they aren't living up to it, they deserve to lose the house! If I take a car loan, then don't make my payments, should the government make my car payment? Please, get a life. Do I sympathize with these folks, oh course, I think we all do. But whatever happened to taking personal responsibility? They got themselves into this mess, not me, not you, not the government, not the taxpayer. It's their fault. Period. Why should the hard working taxpayers foot the bill for their stupidity? No thanks. If the government stays out of the way, the market will eventually fix itself, it always does. 11-18-2008 Ouch! Home Depot profit fell 31% and Lowes fell 24%. The media has been begging for a recession for at least 3 years now and it looks like they've finally got one. They themselves, the so called unbiased free press, are at least partially responsible for this. We are a "consumer economy." In other words, the purchase of goods creates jobs; at the store that sells them, the distibutor that sells it to them, the trucking company that delivers them, the manufacturer, the parts supplier, etc.. So what happens when the media scares people to death? People stop buying, the stores make less, so they employ fewer people, the distributor slows down, trucking slows down, layoffs start, factories close, etc.. Get the idea? People not paying their mortgages, (mortgages they should have never got), has hurt the housing and credit markets for sure, but fear is the real culprit in all of this . The more the media screamed 'Housing market collapse!' the worse it got. Like sheep, the public run scared, right to the voting booth to elect someone to "save" them. When will we learn. 11-17-2008 The media, while claiming to be unbiased, is falling all over itself to get close to their darling Barry Obama. His little appearance on 60 Minutes was so incredibly hyped you would have thought they were interviewing God himself. Barry makes alot of promises and people just swallow it all as the gospel truth. He's going to help everyone with everything, except those who actually work for a living that is. Oh yea, and those evil businesses, he's gonna tax them good! Watch your wallets folks, here comes Barry! 11-16-2008 Nancy Pelosi is demanding more fuel efficient cars from the Big 3 if they want their bailout money, but no mention of restructuring the UAW contracts. Nancy knows the Unions helped elect her, so even though everyone knows it needs to be done, she will never say it. You can't reduce wages and benefits, even at a failing company, that would make far too much sense. Yes folks, the Dems are gonna save us all, we are all far too stupid to do it for ourselves, at least thats what they think. Here's an idea Nancy, eliminate that tax credit for buying a Hybrid, and make it a tax break (a big one) for buying a Ford, GM, or Chrysler product. 11-15-2008 Americans continue to complain about the economy. They drive their Toyota down to Walmart to purchase cheap junk made in China. They gas up at the Citco Station (owned by the government of Hugo Chavez), and then catch a movie at the Sony Cineplex. They keep their milk (from Mexico) in their LG refrigerator (made in Korea), warm up dinner in the Magic Chef Microwave (made in China), watch Dancing with the Stars on their Toshiba Flat Screen TV (made in Japan) and blame Bush for the economy. Get a grip people. GM is in trouble....I wonder why that is? If taxpayers were actually purchasing American products (ie, Cars & Trucks) GM wouldn't be in trouble in the first place. Wake up people. Stop looking for the government to solve all the problems (really the symptoms) and look at the real cause. Take a peek in your own driveway, are YOU part of the problem? 11-14-2008 So GM is begging for a "Bailout". I recently saw the Headline, "GM may not Survive till Obama," as if Obama can solve all the worlds problems. GM has failed to do the reorganizing that Ford has been doing for several years now. Aside from the demise of Oldsmobile, GM hasn't really revamped it's overall lineup. GMAC has had it's hand in Subprime lending, as well as other bad investments. GM now wants $25 billion. Nebraska voters joined Michigan, CA, and Washington in repealing affirmative action. California, Fla, and Az voted to ban gay marriage, and Ark banned unwed couples from adopting children. The economy has contracted for the 1st time since 2001, and the media has everyone in a panic. If you live pay check to pay check, you're probably panicking too. This is where being debt free, living on a written budget, and having a Rainy Day Fund really pays off. If you always live conservatively, this is a time of opportunity. There are great deals everywhere you look; stores are slashing prices to get you in the door. Stocks in good US companies are at 5 year lows, Cars, especially SUV's and trucks, are selling way below list; but can you take advantage of these deals? Gas prices are down, way down, major retailers are running some great deals to increase sales, and Wall Street is having a Blue Light Sale on Quality US Companies. We may well see a flurry of activity in the US markets in the next two months with the possibility of a 33% increase in the Capital Gains Tax next year. As most countries are moving away from Socialism (dare I say Communism), we here seem to be embracing it. Redistribution of Wealth, Karl Marx would be pleased. Warren Buffet is currently buying stock in large US companies with his own money. Are you smarter than Warren Buffet? 10-24-2008 With the election approaching in just over a week, both candidates are promising great programs that will make YOUR life better. BS They are both making promises they can't keep. McCain wants to buy up more bad mortgages to keep people in their homes-people who don't pay their bills, people who should have never gotten a mortage in the first place. Barack, (or Barry as we knew him in Chicago), is promising to lower taxes on 95% of the population. That would be tough since 40% pay no taxes at all. This amounts to increasing the EIC (Earned Income Credit), basically "refunding" more money than the tax payer paid. Call it what you want, but Welfare by any other name is still Welfare. 10-4-2008 So the Bailout package has passed. It's strange how our government works. The Bill was originally 3 pages long, now it's 450. It is packed with pork. The strangest of which is the Wooden Practice Arrow exemption from a 39 cents per arrow excise tax. What does this have to do with anything? The real problem, as I see it, is they have yet to address the real cause of this mess. If they admit that this was caused by the Community Reinvestment Act, then they can't blame it on Bush, and it wouldn't help Obama, so odds are they will not address it. 9-30-2008 Congress is trying to hammer out a new bailout plan for Fanny Mae & Freddie Mac, and the Dow ends up 485 points making up roughly 62% of yesterdays losses. Yes, something needs to be done, and yes this is a bad bill. However, this is NOT 1929, and the sky is definitely not falling. This problem will reoccur unless Congress repeals the 1995 Community Reinvestment Act, and the Enron knee jerk accounting law of "Mark to Market." 9-29-2005 Yikes, what a day on Wall Street! The government bailout bill for Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac failed to pass the house resulting in a 777 point drop for the DOW. Yes, it's definitely a bit concerning, but I wouldn't panic, actually I'm not panicking. This was a unwarranted knee jerk reaction by investers. Long term investers should see this as an opportunity to buy cheap. Go ahead, punch Chicken Little in the eye, the sky is not falling. Stranger yet, the Bears beat the Eagles. | |
