Cap & Trade, you've heard of it, but do you know what it is? This is a scam, Al Gore BS in its highest form, which by the way is attached to the 2010 Budget, so if the budget passes Cap & Trade becomes law. Companies have spent Billions over the last 15 years working to clean up the emissions from their factories. They have taken most of the toxins out and converted their emissions to carbon dioxide, the same thing we humans exhale when we breathe. Yes, this is the same carbon dioxide that plants need to grow; it's a natural element in our atmosphere that is necessary for life on this planet. Well, now that they've done all this work, the greenies say they're causing global warming with all this carbon dioxide and must be punished. So here comes Al Gore (and his record labeling wife Tipper) & Barack Obama (and his wife Patrick Ewing, I mean Aunt Ester, I mean Michelle) with their Cap and Trade scheme. Basically this means these American companies will have to pay a fee to the government based on how much carbon dioxide they release. Experts suggest this would immediately add 12 cents to the price of gas and a 6% increase in the cost of electricity. Barack plans to use this money to subsidize utility costs for low income Americans. Nice huh, another huge tax on American companies to give free money to the "poor." Great, our energy costs go up, so the welfare folks don't have to pay for theirs! Gas prices go up which makes the price of everything go up, more companies move their factories over seas so more jobs are lost, and Al Gore becomes a Billionaire. And this helps our economy how?

So we have gotten a little preview of the 2010 Federal Budget. The details will be difficult to come by for a while, but let's look at what we do know. It totals about $3.5 Trillion Dollars! It cuts $1 Trillion in what Barack considers wasteful spending on programs that don't work, and as you were previously warned, most of these cuts are military. Ready for the kicker. The big dog in the bunch that no one seems willing to talk about? Yes, that tax increase, here it comes, $1 Trillion dollars. Barack is going to jam it to small businesses and individuals making over $250k so he can give the money to those in our society who 'are struggling' an extra $8 a week. The great redistribution of wealth is about to begin, and all the media has to say is 'what a great speech.' Ramming a tax increase down the throat of small business, which by the way creates 98% of the jobs in the US, will not help grow the economy. Cutting our military to shreds will not help our foreign policy. Increasing the deficit by another $1.7 Trillion will not spur long-term growth or even short-term for that matter. This Con artist is using fear to drive support for his socialist agenda. He railed against such politics during the election accusing Republicans of using the 'politics of fear,' yet he has now scared the populous into trying just about anything. Raising taxes in a recession is madness; Democratic hero JFK was smart enough to know that, he CUT taxes during a slowdown to boost the economy, and it worked. Am I alone out here folks? I can't be the only one who is appalled by this reckless, wasteful spending. I know a lot of you are visiting the site, I see the numbers growing everyday, but are you sending it off to your friends and neighbors? Are you telling your buddies at work what is really going on? Are you writing and calling your Representatives? In the time you spend checking your friends' Facebook page, you can email two Senators. Tell your Congressional Representatives that supporting this madness will eventually cost them THEIR job. Face it, a couple of emails a week from me will not change anything, but if we flood their inbox with email and jam their phone lines with calls, it will have an impact. Let them know you ARE paying attention. It really doesn't take a lot of time, you just have to be willing to do it, and if you aren't, you get what you deserve.

More good news on the Stimulus front, if you are a "first time home buyer" you can get an $8000 tax credit and this one you don't have to pay back. But why is it just for the 'first time buyer,' are they not the highest risk? Aren't most of these foreclosures on first time buyers? So the government wants to encourage more high risk lending? Why not open that credit up to everyone, would this not drive investors back into the real estate market? How about encouraging credit worthy folks to buy a SECOND home or rental property? Wouldn't that take a lot of these properties off the banks hands and free up capital? Wouldn't that give the banks some additional cash flow from credit worthy folks paying their mortgages on time? How about the realtors, lawyers, inspectors, appraisers, title companies, not to mention Sears, Lowe's and Home Depot? I know when I purchased a second home I was personally boosting the economy all over town! So if this were really designed to "jolt" the economy why wouldn't the government include more than just first time buyers? Simple, we are the bad guys. Investors are bad, landlords are bad and certainly anyone who can afford a second home must really be bad. If you work hard, live on less than you make, and pay your bills on time, you are bad and you will be punished and made to PAY YOUR FAIR SHARE! Yes, we bad people will be working even harder to help out these poor folks who have always refused to work. Isn't socialism grand!

The new Federal Budget has finally become available to the public, and buddy, it's a biggie. Filled with a reported 9000 earmarks and an 8% increase in domestic spending, this Budget is out of control. Many of the programs in this bill had been blocked or reduced by Bush for years, now with him out of the way and a spend happy loony in the White House, the red ink is flowing strong and deep. This $410 Billion spending bill adds $311 Billion dollars (76% of the total budget) to agencies already getting funds from the massive $787 Billion 'stimulus' package. So did the government cut back on anything? Yes they did. Spending for our troops. In a separate appropriations bill Barack has asked for $50 Billion this year for the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, that funding last year was $190 Billion. So our fearless leader, this great visionary, this great uniter, champion of the down trodden; is pouring Billions into a bloated, fraud ridden Welfare system, and cutting support for our combat troops by 74%. Apparently in his mind new air conditioners in Public Housing is more vital than supplies and support for the men & women of the US Armed Forces who risk their lives for our country. Great, make sure the welfare moms can buy their kids an X-Box, but tell our troops they have to wait on ammo and spare parts. How and when will this irresponsible spending end? With our national debt already as bloated as Rosie O'Donnell's waist line and growing nearly as fast, we are charging towards disaster. If we just keep printing dollars, the dollar's value will fall. If the value of the dollar falls, then prices go up. If we continue to print money at this pace we face the very real possibility of hyper inflation and the ultimate collapse of the dollar. When will the madness stop?

Interesting headlines this morning: Market drops to 1997 levels, Global Warming Satellite Crashes, Lawrence Summers falls asleep at Obama Financial Conference (now who's asleep at the wheel?), Hope, Change, Doom, Recession, Gloom, Disaster, The Sky is Falling, Us pledges $900 Million to rebuild Gaza, Arctic Ice Melting, Home Prices Fall, Dems Propose New $410 Billion Spending Plan, etc. Wait a minute, rebuild Gaza? Did I read that right? Can someone please tell me why we would want to rebuild Gaza? Why do we keep sending these people money? These are the same sweet, wonderful people who were dancing in the streets on 9-11. These aren't funds to prop up the Palestinian Government; this is to repair the damage from the Israeli invasion. Appeasement doesn't work folks, never has - never will. At a time when the National Debt is growing at a mind numbing rate, we definitely shouldn't be sending money to our enemies. The BO Administration has warned the Pentagon that it needs to prepare for significant budget cuts. We're adding millions to the welfare rolls, spending ourselves rapidly into bankruptcy, slashing our national defense, and sending fresh cash to our enemies; where is the logic? Is this what YOU voted for?

Hypocrisy in the White House? Obama's auto team, those he has tasked with saving the US Auto Giants, don't drive American cars. Democrats have long been the darling of Big Labor, supporting pro-union legislation at every opportunity and accepting huge donations to their campaigns. The Dems pretend to support Buy American, Buy Union and are supporting legislation that would make it easier for unions to "organize" new companies. Unions played a big part in electing Barack to the White House, but what do the Dems do when it comes to spending their own money?

Remember just a few short days ago I was telling you how our Colleges and Universities have become a liberal training ground? Well, as if to make my point for me, the news today is full of new examples of just how far these places have sunk.
George Mason University in Washington DC has elected a gay student who wears a dress to school as their home coming queen??? The reaction by the University was to boast to the Associated Press how this shows their real commitment to diversity. Has EVERYONE lost their minds?
NYU students held a 3 day sit in to demand the University send "excess supplies and materials" to rebuild a University in Palestine that was damaged by Israeli airstrikes. As if this wasn't enough to satisy their left wing lust for power, they also demanded NYU offer scholarships to Palestinian students. Can anyone tell me how these little socialists have a right to demand anything? Maybe they should join the real world, maybe try getting a job! Wonder if they would be quite so progressive as to send their OWN money? If these are the future leaders of this country, we are indeed in trouble.

The hot topic for years, the media's constant hammering of the Iraq war and its stunning cost, has disappeared from the news. Now that the Iraq war is basically a success story, the media doesn't say a word about it. Where are Cindy Sheehan, Jane Fonda, Charlie Sheen, and Barbara Streisand? Barack proclaimed back in 2006, "This war is lost," have you heard him get grilled on his failed assessment? The very mention of this would make old Barack look less like the all-knowing messiah they've been telling you he is. His promise of a rapid pullout of US troops no longer seems like such a grand idea. He'll get no grief from the mainstream media; they have too much invested in him now. The next time the media starts screaming about something, remember they have an agenda. With one sweep of the pen Barack cost the American Taxpayer more in one day than the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan combined. Have you heard anyone at ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, or MSNBC make that comparison? Friends, I seriously doubt you ever will.
2-19-2009 Yesterday Barack signed the big jobs creation plan, also known as the ‘Stimulus,’ to save the Economy. Ironically it was the same day that GM & Chrysler had to send a progress update to the Treasury department on their restructuring plan. Chrysler announced it would lay off 3000 more workers and GM would kill off 4 of its 8 brands and layoff 10,000 more workers. Am I missing something? The government is spending Billions to ‘save or create’ millions of government jobs, while forcing GM & Chrysler to cut thousands more jobs. Oh I forgot, big corporations BAD, big government GOOD. So when everyone works for the government, who will pay all the taxes? Reagan said it best when he stated, “Government is not the solution, government is the problem.”

I have been relentlessly encouraging you to exercise your First Amendment rights, here are a couple of related stories to explain why this is so important.
In November of 2008 a Los Angeles City College student was prevented from completing a speech he was giving because it was critical of gay marriage. Giving his presentation was a requirement for this open speech class, but he was not allowed to finish. His speech was stopped, not by students, activists or protesters, but by his own professor. The professor proclaimed that the student was a "fascist bastard" and would not be allowed to continue with his vile speech. When the student filed a complaint he was threatened with expulsion by the same professor. I guess its ok for professors to preach that 9-11 was a Bush conspiracy by Bush and that our country represents everything that is wrong in the world, but don't you dare say something that they disagree with! Our Colleges and Universities have become the equivalent of a Farrakhan day camp. Several years ago while taking some business courses for working professionals, I along with the rest of the class, were forced to read 'Silent Spring' with a foreword by Al Gore. Please tell me what reading this Eco-Trash piece of fiction had to do with business?
The Fairness Doctrine, you may have heard of it, but do you really understand what it is? This law was thrown out during the Reagan Administration, and its demise really helped spawn talk radio. Proponents of reinstating this bill say that talk radio is too conservative and this law would bring balance. The bill would force radio stations to give equal time to liberal hosts to counter the conservatives regardless of their ratings and sponsorship. One of the main Congressional proponents of bringing back this media control bill is Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich, who just happens to be married to a former VP of Air America, the failed liberal radio network. The fact is liberal talk radio was never able to maintain an audience and therefore didn't attract sponsors. Radio is a business, if you get sponsorship for your programming then you succeed, otherwise you fail. The mainstream media is overtly liberal as is Public Radio; talk radio has become one of the last conservative voices left. Will we let the left completely control the media? Please let your voice be heard, if you don't speak for you, who will?
