| The Daily Rant Archive April  4-30-2009 Warning level 5, one step short of a pandemic, and old 'Anchor' Joe Biden tells us to stay off planes, off subways and out of confined spaces. So ask yourself this, considering his statements, would Joe "open mouth insert foot" Biden travel to Mexico? If flying commercially puts one at such a high risk for contracting the Swine Flu and they are obviously so concerned about the spread, why do the International flights continue? Recently a French flight crew refused to fly to Mexico because of the perceived threat of infection, Obama is suggesting school closings, Fort Worth TX has closed all city schools, 30 Marines have been quarantined in California; yet the borders remain open. Ask yourself, if this is truly a heath crisis, why won't they close the borders? Yes, closing the borders would be an extremely drastic move, but wouldn’t it be logical if this is really the threat they are portraying it as? Barack has said that closing the border with Mexico, “would be akin to closing the barn door after the horses are out, because we already have cases here in the United States,” so apparently we just deal with the effect and not the cause? Two big reasons keep the borders open: appearances and the inability to actually close them. First, as Barack has recently demonstrated with the closing of Gitmo, appearances are more important than our safety; he just wants everyone to ‘like us.’ Second, despite all the big talk, the border with Mexico continues to bleed illegal aliens like an open wound. Closing the border crossings with Mexico would be a fruitless gesture without real border enforcement; fruitless without the fence they are so against building. Attempting to close the border would prove they were wrong about the fence and they would much rather put the public at risk than ever admit they are wrong. Be critical of everything they say, they are lying to you! 04-29-09 So here it is folks, Day 100 of the Obama Regime. So lets take a look at Barack's accomplishments since Jan. 20th (sure seems longer than that doesn't it!) Unemployment has risen to 8.5% and is expected to hit 10% by the end of the year. The Economy shrank 6.1% in the first quarter with little or no hope in sight. GM and Chrysler face almost certain bankruptcy by the end of the year; plant closings and the resulting layoffs weigh heavy on the economy. The US Government will run a record $1.5 trillion budget deficit this year, if they refrain from any further bailout action! Despite BO's promise to work in a bipartisan spirit, the Congress as well as the Country has never been more divided. Barack's promise of Hope and Change has somehow led the Dept of Homeland Security to label of all conservatives as potential terrorists. Nearly every high profile cabinet nominee has proven to be a tax cheat, real nice. The Treasury is printing money non-stop to keep up with Obama's spending while Geithner still sits alone in his office, unable to fill critical positions. Despite claiming not to be interested in nationalizing banks and other corporations, leading economists claim the government now controls 30% of the Economy. The BO Administrations foreign policy has consisted of apologizing to EVERYONE, for what I'm not sure. Let's see what else - abandoned Israel, Poland, and the Czech Republic, released secret CIA memos, hijacked the Census, and insulted the Special Olympics. Have you heard enough, I'm tired from just thinking about it? These first 100 days have been a disaster for our country, yet old Barry is just getting started. We still have Socialized Medicine, Cap & Trade, Gun Control, Domestic Militias, Mandatory Volunteerism, and a government controlled internet to look forward to! 100 Days down, 1361 more to go. 04-28-09 The Fox Network has decided it will not carry Obama's prime time press conference, oh heavens no! The left wing blogs are all screaming media bias, but as usual they didn't bother to actually read the article! Fox Network will not be carrying the broadcast; Fox News and Fox Business network will. Networks such as, oh let's see, ABC, NBC and CBS have in the past refused to carry prime time Bush press conferences, maybe I'm just getting old, but I don't remember there being this big clamor of media bias then. Face it folks, this guy loves to hear himself talk (as long as he has his teleprompter) and takes every opportunity to place himself, The One, front and center. Fox is a privately owned company and has not only the ability but the right to decide what's best for their business. All the liberal bloggers are calling for a boycott of Fox, but I predict their decision will lead them to a huge ratings advantage for the night. On April 15th, when the other news Networks decided to ignore the Tea Parties while Fox ran live coverage all day, Fox viewer ship was 32% higher than the rest of the news networks COMBINED! Ask yourself this, when you come home Wednesday from a hard days work, will you want to relax with a little TV or listen to this guy toot his own horn? Oh, and while we're on the subject of media bias, where was the outcry over Obama's little golf trip? The same day that Summers states the economy is basically still in a freefall, GM & Chrysler are toast, and we have a swine flu epidemic; Barack spends the day golfing! Remember how they relentlessly slammed Bush for such irresponsible behavior? How many times did they slam Bush for spending time at his Texas ranch? Well, remember that urgent stimulus package, no time to read it - had to be passed immediately, and then Barack spent 4 days in Hawaii before signing it? Where was the media outcry? Again folks, the double standard rears it's ugly head. Think the Networks are 'Fair & Balanced, read the attached reports. 04-27-09 The 'moral authority' of the US was compromised by the Bush Administration? This battle cry of the left in congress has become their hypocritical justification for going after members of the previous Administration. Lawyers at the Justice Dept. who authorized the use of waterboarding are being accused of war crimes by those on the left who claim ownership of the 'high road.' Although they have been unable to identify exactly what they could actually charge them with, Nancy Pelosi and friends want blood. You know there's an old saying that 'those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones,' apparently some of our liberal friends in Congress have never heard that one. If the left in Congress finally want to take the high road I have a few suggestions where they might start. First of all, they could start by putting long time Senator John Kerry (D) on trial for his admitted war crimes. Then they could move on to former Senator Bob Kerrey (D) who admitted to ordering his Seal Team to round up and kill women and children in a Mekong Delta Village. Next, we could drag Jane Fonda (enemy sympathizer) to court for treason, seat her right next to John Murtha (D) (enemy sympathizer). Then we have Nancy herself, who denies any knowledge of the harsh interrogation techniques being used on terrorists despite being briefed on it in 2002. Let's take a moment to look at who is really taking the high road and who isn't. George Bush, regardless of what you think of him, has repeatedly refused to criticize the current Administration despite the ample opportunities to do so. The current Obama Administration has missed no opportunity to criticize the Bush Administration going as far as using the 2010 Budget outline as a vehicle of anti-Bush propaganda. Obama had stated previously that he was uninterested in any such prosecutions of Bush officials, now he says he's open to it, how convenient! Barack continues to follow the script of his mentor Saul Alinsky and his 1971 Rules for Radicals: Rule 8: Keep the pressure on. Use different tactics and actions and use all events of the period for your purpose. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this that will cause the opposition to react to your advantage.” Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame. Demonizing the previous Administration provides this Administration a cover for their race towards Socialism. For those of you who still think this guy is just another liberal President, you need to crawl out of your cocoon and start paying attention. Bill Clinton was a liberal President, although I didn't like the guy, he didn't scare me, this guy is not Bill Clinton. This Administration is attempting to pass the largest middle class tax increase in history through the "American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009." This Administration is attempting to seize control of the internet via the "Cybersecurity Act of 2009." This Administration is seizing control of banks and corporations through the use of bail out funds. This President is seeking to redistribute the earning of hard working Americans through targeted tax increases. This President went on tour across Europe and the Middle East calling our nation arrogant and apologizing for our past actions (I guess we should be sorry for liberating Europe.) This President went to Central America and felt compelled to exchange gifts with oppressive Dictators. So what are we hearing in the media, Bush Lawyers should be prosecuted! The art of war is based on the art of deception and this Administration has declared war on the American way of life. 04-26-09 So the calls for blood are getting louder and louder from the Obama Administration and the holier-than-thou liberals in Congress. Many on the left are calling for the prosecution of lawyers from the Justice Dept. who approved the harsh interrogation methods used at Gitmo. Let me get this staight, everyone cheered loudly when the Navy shot 3 Somali pirates in the head to save one American, but those who gathered information that saved potentially thousands of Americans should be prosecuted and jailed? The UN is saying the US violated the Geneva Convention by torturing prisoners of war, but what about the filmed beheadings by these animals? The Geneva Convention was drafted as a guideline for treatment of prisoners in a conflict of Uniformed Armies, the US is a signer of the Geneva Convention - the Taliban is not. The radical Muslim jihadist's torture, mutilate, and beheads our soldiers and civilians alike, but we are supposed to play nice with them? Gee, maybe we should have put them up at the Four Seasons and scheduled them a few conjugal visits! Further more, if there really is no war on terror, how are these 'people' prisoners of war? We had 'people' in custody with information on planned terrorist acts against the US, but they weren't going to give up the information voluntarily, so what are the options, just wait for another attack? If we had to pour water down the throats of these sub-humans to get them to talk then I say, so what? Here's the other issue, why now? Why all the talk of this retribution today when there are so many other pressing issues? Call me paranoid if you like, but I personally believe this issue has been raised to distract the American public. This government is attempting to pass several disastrous pieces of legislation that they don't want publicly debated. Keeping with their previous tactic, they are trying to force legislation through before anyone really understands what's in it, remember the Stimulus bill that no one read? No time to read this stuff, it's too urgent; we must pass it now while no one is looking! Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! 04-25-09 Former Vice President Al Gore spoke to a Congressional hearing yesterday to support the proposed Cap & Trade program. Originally Al was scheduled to appear side-by-side with Global Warming skeptic Lord Christopher Monckton, but at the last minute (after he arrived in Washington) Lord Monckton was uninvited (see attached article). Please take a moment to ask yourself why, if this was to be a serious debate, did they choose to disallow the opposition to speak? Democrats, with their dominating control of both houses, apparently feel that Global Warming is real threat and that debating the issue is pointless. Despite a great deal of evidence debunking 'Climate Change' and a lack of support from the American people (see attached,) Congress and the Administration are ready to ram this legislation through without any serious debate. If you read through the 2010 Budget Outline (see attached) you'll see that it clearly states an uncompromising commitment to stop Global Warming. This proposed Cap & Trade program will place a crushing tax burden on American businesses and families alike, all without serious debate. We can all sit around complaining about these issues to ourselves, or we can make a concerted effort to make our voices heard. When was the last time you sent a letter to your elected officials? Were you one of the estimated 563,000 patriots who participated in a Tea Party, or did you sit at home waiting for someone else to do it for you? If you suspect your home has termites, do you take action, or sit around waiting for the house to collapse around you? Conservatives have been sitting quietly on the sidelines for far too long, that's how we got in this mess in the first place. 04-23-09 Senator John Kerry, you remember him, has proposed that the Federal Government use taxpayer money to bailout failing newspapers. Call me paranoid, but this sounds like a really bad idea to me. Currently several banks are attempting to give bailout money back to the government, and guess what, the government won't take it back. Why wouldn't the government want our taxpayer money back, because they would lose control over these banks? What was designed to be a temporary loan program to keep banks solvent and lending has turned into government control over banking. Let's take a look at the auto bailouts for a moment, would you like Barack Obama to have this kind of control over your company? Try as I might, I can't seem to find where the Constitution grants the President the power to remove the CEO of any corporation for any reason. The government has used its bailout funds to seize complete control of General Motors. They removed Rick Wagoner as CEO, decided which brands they can keep and which they must sell, and even decided which cars will be built and which ones won't. This Administration, with it's obvious inability to grasp basic economics (clearly displayed in their 2010 budget proposal), should not be running ANY company. We've seen how the government has used bailout money in the past; now let's apply these lessons to the newspaper industry. The right to a free press is clearly expressed in the First Amendment and was designed to prevent the government from silencing opposing views. Considering the governments past behavior, should they now be allowed to take over newspapers? Talk about having the fox in the henhouse, do you really believe these papers would have the ability to be critical of this administration? Would the government have the ability to remove any executive who dared publish an article they disapprove of? I also find the timing of this rather strange considering there is a Bill known as the Cybersecurity Act of 2009 sneaking through the Senate that would give the President the power to shut down internet traffic to "protect national security." Talk of reinstating the Fairness Doctrine continues to rise up in the Senate despite heavy public opposition. The office of Home Land Security releases a report labeling Christians and Conservatives as potential terrorists. The Senate is studying HR 45, an oppressive gun control act, while Obama promises to work with Mexico on Arms Control? The government dispatches the FBI to monitor and document the Tea Parties? Does this all sound like the actions of a representative government to you? Is this really what a government by the people should be doing? Take a moment and tell them NO, while you still can. The 3 principles of tyranny: Control the Media Silence the Opposition Disarm the Populous 04-22-09 Earth day, a day originally set aside in 1969 to address the growing concern of over population and global cooling, has been hijacked by the loony left to push their Global Warming hysteria. Oh, by the way, whatever happened to that hole in the ozone layer that was going to kill us all? A recent poll by 'treehugger.com' (no I'm not kidding) shows that 1 in 3 children ages 6-11 fear the Earth will be uninhabitable by the time they grow up. How have we allowed these pocket mulching, Kool-Aid drinking wack-jobs to brain wash kids with this trash? What sort of pond scum are these people to focus their propaganda at children? The mainstream media, and the BO Administration for which they stand, will stop at nothing to achieve their twisted goals. Do you think they are really true believers or just power hungry Socialists? Now, if you are concerned about the environment, and truly live what you preach, then good for you. Enjoy your Earth Day; get out there and plant yourself a tree my green little friend. However, realistically how many of these folks actually have a tree, plants, flowerbed, garden or even grass? Ever notice the big eco-nuts tend to gravitate towards the big pollution filled cities; while us evil planet killing conservatives tend to live in the much more tree friendly suburban or rural areas? The protesters at the Nashville Tea Party left Legislative Plaza cleaner than we found it; the revelers at the Obama Inauguration left behind 130 TONS of garbage. Millions of people turned out their lights for Earth Hour, Al Gore did not. I'll be planting a 1+ acre garden on Earth Day, not because I'm told to, but because I enjoy it. I wonder what Al Gore will be doing today? Here's the bottom line folks, if they make conservation and recycling cost effective, people will do it. So far none of the so-called renewable energies have proven to be reliable or cost effective. Hybrid and electric cars are impractical and cost far too much, solar panels and wind mills are completely ineffective, bio-diesel and ethanol are too limited and just as pollutant. When you greenies come up with something that works well and is cost effective, we'll do it, till then get off our backs! 04-20-09 A day off from both jobs, hard to believe. Before embarking on my duties of the day I took the opportunity, as always, to browse a few of the 'news' stories of the day. Horrifying, absolutely horrifying. On one hand you have Obama pandering to the Socialists and Communists in Latin America, at the same time you have White House advisor David Axelrod calling the Tea Parties "unhealthy." First of all, Latin America is a disaster of extreme poverty, corrupt politicians, out of control crime rates, and persistant civil unrest. Is this the example our fearless leader is looking to for inspiration? Is this Barack's version of the American dream? The teachings of the America hating Rev. Wright have apparently inspired Barry's love for America haters everywhere. First Obama goes on a "blame America tour' of Europe, now he's hanging out with Hugo Chavez. What's next, spooning with Bin Laden? I find it strange that Operation Pink vandalizing Marine recruiting stations and disrupting congress is called healthy for Democracy. La Raza protesting for illegal aliens rights and taypayer provided benefits; healthy for Democracy. ACORN corrupting the election and disrupting our peacful protests at taxpayer expense; healthy for Democracy. Wacky liberals and anarchists protesting the war on terror; healthy for democracy. Law abiding taxpayers holding peaceful protests against a corrupt and irresponsible government; unhealthy for Democracy. I'll tell you why they think it's unhealthy, it's unhealthy for their political careers. This country was founded when the people stood up to an oppressive government that did not represent them. Do the actions and policies of Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and Nancy Pelosi represent you? This Administration, and the left wing media for which it stands, is trying to label all conservatives as dangerous racist extremists; sure sounds like hate speech to me! Throw the bums out! 04-19-09 Wake up America! The average American listens to the 'morning zoo radio show' on the way to work, talks about sports at the water cooler, listens to music on the way home, then gets their news from Jay Leno. Many Americans are walking around in a fog, either unaware or uninterested in the disastrous events unfolding around them. Americans seem far more interested in who's on Dancing with the Stars than how their Congressman voted on the stimulus package. Folks, ignoring the facts won't change them; this self imposed blindness is how we got in this mess in the first place. People watched those Obama infomercials and thought they were voting for another Bill Clinton, instead they got another Hugo Chavez. We know we can't slap everyone out of their media induced fog, but we need to inform as many as we can. Do your buddies know that Barack, in clear violation of the Constitution, highjacked the 2010 Census? Do your friends at church realize Obama allocated Billions of dollars to ACORN and reinstated federal funding for abortion? Do your co-workers know that Barack's cap and trade scheme will make energy costs skyrocket and potentially drive their employer out of business? Do your 'friends' on Myspace, Twitter, or Facebook know this Regime is trying to limit free speech through a back door reinstatement of the Fairness Doctrine? Does your neighbor understand that his son or daughter returning from Iraq has been labeled a potential terrorist? Do your family members understand that this renegade Administration has labeled anyone who disagrees with them as a right wing extremist? We can all make a difference by spreading the word in own circles of influence. Silence on the issues is the same as consent. Do not be silent. You do NOT have to stand on the street corner with a big sign yelling like a yahoo to make a difference. Wake someone up TODAY! 04-18-09 The weekend is upon us again, the end to another week of colossal mistakes by this inept Administration. Reading the news these days is like a reoccurring bad dream. The Great One is willing to meet with Chavez and Castro, but was 'too busy' to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The Regime readies the largest tax increase on the middle class in history through a cap and trade scheme and calls it a tax cut. The Regime prepares to pass the most restrictive gun controls in history. The Regime prepares full amnesty for all illegal aliens. The Regime targets our brave soldiers returning for war as potential terrorists. Have you had enough? What are you doing to oppose this run away Regime? Do not believe for a minute the mainstream media will say anything against this tyrannical power grabbing socialist. Did anyone notice the media bias against the Tea Parties? Fox News covered them from coast to coast, but the networks down played them as little gatherings of right wing extremists. These 500 little gatherings were astounding considering that most of us, as conservatives, had never participated in a political rally of any kind. These rallies gathered, not the tens of thousands the networks stated, but hundreds of thousands from coast to coast. These protests may not be 'your cup of tea,' fine, find your own way to pressure them! Write the clowns, call them, send them a nasty letter, send them a bunch of tea bags, join your local political party; DO SOMETHING! In the words of Thomas Paine, "If we do not hang together, or we shall surely hang seperately." 04-17-09 Did you know you're being profiled? We've been told that profiling Middle Eastern men at the airport is WRONG, but profiling someone because of their conservative beliefs is now apparently ok. According to a new report from Home Land Security, if you believe the government is too big, you are considered a potential terrorist. If you are against abortion or illegal immigration, you are a potential terrorist. If you have bought ammo or extra food supplies in the last three weeks, you are a potential terrorist. If you recently returned from combat duty in Iraq or Afghanistan, you are a potential terrorist. People, what is going on with this Administration? The DHS report singled out conservative Christians in particular as a major threat to US domestic security. The Dept. of Homeland Security is more concerned about profiling hard working American's who disagree with the liberal policies of this President, than they are about monitoring Islamic Radicals. Wait, I'm confused, I thought these people work for us? When pressed on the issue, the White House and the Dept. of Homeland Security are standing by this report and dismissed any criticism of it. Scary stuff out there folks, when the Administration labels those who disagree with them as potential threats to security, they seize the power to silence their opponents. Silencing the opposition, redistribution of wealth, 'mandatory volunteerism', nationalized healthcare, nationalized banks and industries, gun control, domestic security forces; does any of this bother you? Does this sound like the America that you know? What would our Founding Fathers think of this? Who gives these clowns the authority to ignore The Constitution? To use Barack's own words, "ENOUGH!" 04-16-09 The TEA Parties. Good morning everyone, and thanks to all of you who attended a Tea Party yesterday! For those of you who were unable to attend, you missed a great event. This rally was more exciting and more fun than many concerts I've been to. The organizers did a great job putting it together, scheduling great speakers, and keeping it on theme. Despite the fact that CNN and the other slanted left wing networks are trying to portray this as a right wing extremist rally, this protest represented a wide cross section of our fragmented society. This rally had attendees of all races, ethnic backgrounds, political affiliation, and economic levels. This Tea Party represented people of all beliefs coming together to say no to the outrageous spending going on in Washington. We did have some ACORN idiots try to disrupt our peaceful rally, but we quickly shouted them down with chants of U-S-A! Very fun! On a side note, an organization that interferes with a citizen's right to free speech, as well as fixing elections, should not be receiving Taxpayer Money! Just in case you didn't see it, Patriot Depot (my sponsor) teamed up with Reagan.org and delivered 1 million Tea Bags to Washington yesterday! I know many of you may not be convinced of the effectiveness of this type of protest, and you are right to a point. If this demonstation was just a one time deal it would indeed generate few results, however this is just one piece in a broad based plan. This was the first step in getting folks attention and expand our grass roots organizing efforts against an out of touch, out of control government. It’s amazing to me how short some people’s memory really is. They forget how they got where they are and those that helped them get there. They forget the hard lessons of their parents and grandparent’s generations. In this microwave generation, everyone wants everything now. No one saves up for a car; they just finance it. No one saves up for a TV; they just put it on a credit card. No one saves up for that dream vacation; they take a home equity loan. No one wants to work to achieve the lifestyle they want; they want it now because they’re entitled to it, and they want someone else to pay for it. They have no true sense of morality; if they can cheat and get away with it, they will. If they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar, a simple sorry is supposed to make it ok, meaning they’re just sorry they got caught. If they don’t like their job, they just quit. If they don’t feel like going to work today, they don’t. If they get fired from their job, it’s because the boss ‘had it in for them.’ What has happened to our country folks? This generation that has been given everything has not learned to work for anything. They do not believe in personal responsibility; they have no sense of patriotism, morality, or loyalty. Nothing is ever their fault, and if they do something really stupid or embarrassing they will find someone else blame. It’s all about me me me! Today’s ‘nuclear family’ of record divorce rates, single moms and deadbeat dads is merely a symptom of the me generation. If something doesn’t happen to change this mentality, this country is finished as a Republic. 04/13/2009 Is anyone else out there having a hard time watching the so called "news?" Freedom of the press is officially dead in the US as the networks pander exclusively to the wacky left. The major networks have become little more than a propaganda tool for the Obama White House much like Pravda was under the Soviet Regime. The Tea Parties are receiving positive coverage only from Fox News which the left claims to be nothing more than a division of the GOP. Many previous Tea Parties have had larger turn outs than the G20 protest in London, but ZERO coverage from the networks. Now with over 600 confirmed protests scheduled for Tax Day, BSNBC has come out and openly mocked the protests. This is the same network that gives DNC Chair Howard Dean a 30 minute show basically whenever he desires some air time and then calls it political coverage. I have posted a BSNBC video clip to the website of this mentally deranged psycho radical butchy lesbian Rachel "I'm a nut job" Maddow mocking the Tea Party Organizers (watch it if you can stomach it.) Does this seem like unbiased news coverage? Closer to home our little site has again been slapped up side the head by Google, in a single day our Google category ranking went from 12th to 341st. Oddly enough, this happened the same day I removed a piece of Google software from the site! The following day I spent the afternoon fighting off a Trojan Horse Virus from "someone" seemed determined to crash the site. (No worries, we scan EVERYTHING we post to the site or email out to you.) Ask yourself why this Regime, and their mainstream media mouthpiece, fears your right to free speech? Yea, the press is free, free to lie to us as they please with no one holding them accountable. We will not be intimidated, we will not stop; whether it's for 1 reader or 1 million, we will continue to be a nasty little thorn in their side. Will you be afraid to speak out against this tyranny? Don't be a Sheep, be an American! 04/12/2009 Happy Easter everyone! I know most of you will not read this till Monday morning so I hope you enjoyed your holiday. I won't take up too much of your time today, but did want to take just a moment to point out a few things. Have you noticed fewer and fewer Obama stickers out there? Have you noticed fewer people, aside from the press, supporting this disgrace of a government? Have you noticed that even a lot of lifelong Democrats are backing away from the policies of this Administration and its Congressional lapdogs? Several people I know who actually voted for this guy are beginning to realize they made a mistake. The Democratic Party that many of these folks supported for years no longer exists. Their Party has been hijacked by the Hollywood liberal loonies, on the same note, the Republican Party that WE have known is also hard to recognize. The Republican Party strayed away from the basic conservative platforms it is supposed to stand for and has been a disappointment to many of us. Happy Easter! 04/10/2009 Public Schools = Socialist Camps? A Rasmussen poll was released recently that is quite disturbing. According to the results of this poll, only 53% of Americans surveyed think Capitalism is a better system than Socialism. The older respondents more heavily favored Capitalism, the younger respondents were more likely to embrace Socialism. So where did young people get these ideas from, did you as parents teach it to them, did they learn them at Church? They learned it in school folks; their teachers preach evolution, ‘social justice,’ and Global Warming. Now before I start getting nasty letters from teachers, let me say that of course there are still some good teachers out there. Unfortunately, these days too many teachers feel it’s within their power to indoctrinate your kids with their ideas. It starts in Grade School and gets drilled into their heads as they work towards College. College Campuses have long been a haven for left wing radicals, and it’s only getting worse. How many times do we have to hear these so-called intellectuals blame America for EVERYTHING before we realize they HATE America? Do you really want your children sitting in a classroom listening to William Ayers? I told you in a previous Rant about being forced to read Silent Spring in a business class, and it was required that we purchase the revised addition with the Foreword by Al Gore. We were in essence forced to read and regurgitate the Global Warming myth, and pay for it to boot! Why is the left so opposed to the school vouchers program, what about home schooling? Ever wonder why the left is so adamant about publicly funded Pre-school? They know the earlier they are allowed to influence you kids, the more effective the indoctrination. Take heed now; find out what they’re teaching your kids, before it’s too late. Take your kids to a Tea Party and teach them about democracy, history, self-reliance, Free Markets, and free speech; this is really all for them. 04/09/2009 The countdown is on; only 6 days left till conservatives join together to publicly protest the outrageous actions of an out of touch Congress and a Socialist Administration. I want to take a moment to warn you of the trappings that could accompany our movement so that we are careful to avoid them. One of the most dangerous things we face is a lack of focus. We all have different issues we feel strongly about; Immigration, Tax Reform, Strong Defense, Smaller Government, Gun Rights, Abortion, The War on Terror, Free Markets, and many more, but we must be careful to maintain the focus of this protest. The theme of this protest is simple "Repeal the Pork, Cut Taxes and Spending." We need to stick to this theme; there will be ample opportunities to raise our other issues in the future. Another problem we will face is the liberal mainstream media; they WILL try to portray this as a media ploy for the GOP, Libertarians, or other groups. This is a grass roots movement that has now gathered support from other conservative groups. We should welcome their support, but remember why this started in the first place. Finally, the biggest danger we face is apathy. Do not get too comfortable, do not wait for someone else to do the work; get involved, stay involved. Have you registered for a Tea Party yet, if you haven't, why not? Don't sit at home and watch it on TV, get out there! If everyone who is supportive of this movement actually SHOWED UP to a Tea Party we would absolutely CRUSH the attendance predictions. I had to change my plans to attend in Atlanta due to a change in my work schedule, so I had to find a different party (I'll be in Nashville), so what? The organizers have done a great job of planning events in different locations with varied schedules; I promise you'll find one you CAN attend. These folks have worked tirelessly; unselfishly giving of their free time to make these rallies happen, they need our support. Our Country's future is at stake; please do not sit on the sidelines. Finally I leave you with this question to ponder, after the April 15th Tea Parties, what's our next move? 04/08/2009 I must have missed a memo, but since when did disagreeing with a politician become hate speech? Wake up people, there is no Constitutional protection against being offended. I’m offended every time Pelosi opens her mouth, does that mean I can take her to court, could she be tried under the hate crimes legislation? No, the Constitution of the United States, drafted by our Founding Fathers guarantees our right to Free Speech, period. There isn’t a clause in there about “only if you don’t offend anyone” or “as long as you don’t disagree with a weak-kneed liberal,” or “unless the old hags from The View say it’s ok.” So can anyone explain to me what is going on in this country right now? I find it a bit ironic that Barack referred to himself in Turkey as Barack Hussein Obama. Correct me if I’m wrong, but those who chose to address him that way during the campaign were chided as racists. So again the left enforces a double standard on the American public. It’s ok if THEY say it, but its hate speech if WE say it, are we all clear on this? Am I the only one who has had enough of this political correctness garbage? If you say anything against this guy, you are immediately labeled a racist because he’s half black. Well guess what, he’s also half WHITE! Can we please talk to that half now? Can we criticize that half of him without being racist, or does any slight amount of non-white heritage make you off limits to criticism? It was ok to criticize Bush, even considered a patriotic duty by some, but because this guy’s skin is a bit darker means he’s untouchable? Let there be no mistake, I don’t care what color he is; to me he’s a dangerous, radical, left wing loony out to destroy our Capitalist Free Market society and must be stopped. People, enough is enough, this tiptoeing around the issues just because the guy is half black is simply ridiculous. I for one will not be silenced, will you? 04/07/2009 I’m sure everyone remembers the lady who sued McDonalds because their coffee was too hot. If you will recall, this lady went through the drive thru, placed the hot cup of McDonald’s coffee in her lap, and subsequently spilled it. As a result of her stupidity she was burned severely, sued McDonalds claiming their coffee was dangerously hot, and won a large settlement. Well, there is a new lawsuit pending against the McDonalds Corp. regarding a married couple that lost their cell phone in a McDonalds. The husband left his cell sitting on the table when they left the restaurant, then later called them looking for it. A McDonald’s employee did find the phone and told the husband they would hold it for him till he came to retrieve it. Sounds like he got pretty lucky to me, he’s getting his lost phone back, right? Well, apparently the phone contained some sexually explicit pictures of the wife and an employee downloaded them to the Internet! DOH! Now, of course they are not suing the employee, but the McDonalds Corporation. These idiots, and I think we can all agree they are definitely idiots, want a big payday from McDonalds for THEIR STUPIDITY! The first question I would have to ask is why he had these pictures on his cell phone in the first place, if you’re going to take pictures like that, BUY A CAMERA! Question two; if you know these pictures are on your cell phone, wouldn’t you tend to be a bit more careful where you leave it? Question three; how is McDonalds responsible for these peoples stupidity? The employee definitely did a bad thing, but the company can’t be responsible for every action of every employee. If anyone deserves to be sued it would be the employee, but then of course they can’t get a multi-million dollar settlement from a fast food worker! These people screwed up and they are embarrassed, and rightly so, that doesn’t mean they get to be millionaires because of it. Whatever happened to personal responsibility? Today it seems that no one takes responsibility for himself or herself, everything is the fault of someone else. If I have more kids than I can afford, the government will help me pay for them. If I can’t pay my mortgage because I bought a house I couldn’t afford, the government will pay it for me. If I don’t work because I feel oppressed, the government will pay me anyway. If I get laid off from my job because too many folks bought foreign made cars, the government will get me a new government job. These trash lawsuits, and the liberal activist judges who allow them, are another indication of just how far our nation has fallen. The Judge, if they had any common sense at all, would have thrown this case out immediately for lack of merit, but instead the case will go to trial and likely be settled out of court. Millions paid to a couple of idiots, think they deserve it, then fine just don’t complain when the price of a Quarter-Pounder goes up! Why has common sense become so uncommon? 04/06/2009 Monday is here again, and plenty of Stupid Obama Tricks to talk about. As we predicted, Obama had virtually no response to the North Korean missile launch. He had some 'tough words' and is just relying on the UN to do something about it, as usual that means nothing! He has basically spent the week bad mouthing the US and apologizing to the world for our 'past actions' while strutting across Europe acting like some kind of royalty. Barack never seems happier than when he's slamming our nation. During this little trip he had his first meeting with NATO where he found out just because he asks for help doesn't mean he's going to get it. This guy's delusions of grandeur have led him to believe that he's the first one to ever try 'working' with other nations; he's a fool. NATO refused to give him more troops for Afghanistan, but he praised them for their cooperation? Gee, what other stupid things has he done this weekend, oh yea, he stated he wants to get rid of nuclear weapons. Barry reveals this naive concept while North Korea is testing an ICBM designed to carry a nuclear warhead, and Iran's nuclear program continues unchecked. What is Comrade Obama thinking? If the bad guy is kicking down your back door, do you unload your gun and hide under the bed? This guy is making Carter look like a great President! Carter signed a nuclear Treaty that put us at a major disadvantage to the former Soviet Union, Reagan had to spend a ton of cash to recover from this failed policy; we may not have the same opportunity this time. Russia and China have increased their military spending at a time when we are cutting ours. Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Japan will no longer loan us money leaving China as our only lender. So ask yourself this, will China lend us money in the future to rebuild the military that Barack has neglected? Why would China lend us money to defend ourselves against China? They see their primary enemy as poorly led, militarily vulnerable, and teetering on bankruptcy; sure they'll help out, no problem! Barack is like a drunk driver on the wrong side of the highway; reckless, dangerous and heading for disaster. 04/05/2009 Opps, Obama Administration caught in a lie? The Administration has stated over and over that they have no interest in nationalizing the banks; however their actions tell a much different story. Several banks are now attempting to return TARP money, but the White House refuses to take it back, ask yourself why? Why would they not want that money back, it was after all supposed to be a loan? The BO White House knows that if these banks return the TARP money, they will no longer have control over the banks actions, salaries, board members, or whether or not the CEO stays or goes. They have already made it clear they believe they have the power to remove a CEO, remove board members and control everyone's salaries at any company taking bailout money, and apparently they like it. What's the next step? I told you previously that the 'Treasury' wanted the authority to seize control of non-bank financial institutions that it deems in trouble; now, apparently, they want to expand that to any company they designate as 'critical to the economy.' Should this authority be granted by Congress, and it likely will be, this Administration could seize any company, for any reason, without approval from anyone. Where is this authority granted by the Constitution? If you don't find this frightening, you are in major denial. Please write your Congressman and demand this be stopped. 04/04/2009 Has anyone noticed that gas prices are starting to creep up again? Where I’m located they’ve risen about 50 cents a gallon over the past 2 months. Think about this for a moment, what changed? What caused gas prices to go down, and will they stay down? During the height of the price run up people were trading their SUV’s for $30,000 weak-kneed little hybrids (a really stupid idea by the way) and demanding action from the government. Many of us were demanding they open up more domestic oil fields and drill here! Again, what changed? The economic slump combined with high gas prices forced many of us to drive less, reducing demand. . The massive fall in the market also has had a huge effect on the price of many commodities including oil. There are some other factors involved, but that’s the basics of it. So have we fixed the problem, nope we’ve done nothing. Prices went down, people stopped complaining and it’s back to business as usual. So do you think gas pries will stay down? Please, get a life. We are still as reliant on foreign oil as ever and we’ve done nothing to change that. With the government pumping all this freshly printed money into the economy, oil prices will rise due to the falling value of the dollar if nothing else. A falling dollar almost always equals higher commodity prices, therefore; higher prices for everything including gas. Don’t be lulled to sleep, things are about to get crazy. 04/03/2009 JFK once said if you get Domestic Policy wrong, you lose a lot of money, if you get Foreign Policy wrong, you lose a lot of lives. It’s pretty apparent to most of us that the current Domestic Policy is without a doubt wasting a lot of money. Let’s take a look at our current foreign policy.
Close Gitmo for publicity reasons. Borrow money from Communist China. Apologize to the entire Muslim world. Send Hillary to annoy everyone. Send a nice letter to Iran. Send a nice letter to Russia. Send a nice video to Iran. Send a secret letter to Russia Ignore threats from North Korea. Give cash to Pakistan’s military. Cut cash from US military. Claim there is no War on Terror. Send more troops to Afghanistan. Ignore the War in Iraq. Loosen restrictions on Cuba. Break commitments to our allies in Israel, Poland, Japan and the Czech Republic.
Does this sound like a strong foreign policy? Breaking News, just today Obama finally said he was putting his foot down with North Korea, but he didn’t say how. If I were in their shoes I would be really scared; he might get really mad and send them a nasty letter!
