Cash for clunkers – another example of government incompetence.
Our wise elected officials have once again demonstrated their inability to manage anything! This program, driven by the green leaning left, offered rebates of up to $4500 to people who traded in ‘gas guzzlers’ for more fuel efficient cars. The Hope and Change Administration claimed this program was designed to stimulate the auto industry; if that was true why would they wait till 2 of them went bankrupt before introducing it? Oh wait, if they did that they might not own GM, sorry I forgot. This program was another unnecessary give-away of taxpayer money to fund the green agenda. Oh, and did I mention that the $1 Billion budgeted for the program ran out in a few days instead of a few months? Those in Congress estimated the program would be funded through the end of October, instead it ran out of cash before the end of the week; still trust their budget estimates? Considering the fine job they did with this fairly simple program, do you really want to trust them with something as complex as healthcare? No? How about the Economy, Cap & Trade, Iran, North Korea, or Afghanistan? These bozos aren’t competent enough to make change at McDonalds much less manage the world’s largest economy (no offense to McDonalds.) Call me crazy (probably not the first time,) but I foresee a large increase in unemployment among liberal public officials in 2010. Obama was right; we do need to vote for change, 458 days from now we need to vote for a BIG CHANGE! Have a great weekend! 7-31-2009 Obama’s Aunt STILL living off US Taxpayers. Yes, you read that right; Obama’s aunt who is an illegal alien is still in the country and still getting government benefits. Zeituni Polly Onyango, a native of Kenya, is living in public housing in South Boston. Onyango, who was ordered out of the country in 2004, has defied the courts decision and remained in the country illegally. How is it that this illegal alien is able to qualify for government benefits? Why should the taxpayers be picking up the tab for her housing? Onyango is scheduled for a deportation hearing in Feb. of 2010, almost 4 years after she was ordered out, why? She was ordered out of the country already, defied the laws of our country again by remaining here and yet she gets another hearing? What do you think the odds are that she will be deported? I would say probably less than zero. My guess is she will not only be allowed to remain, but will continue to suck cash out of the taxpayers pockets for the remainder of her life. Do you think Mr. Obama may decide to involve himself in this local issue? So how many more Onyangos are there in this country that we know about? How many illegals are really here, sapping our resources while paying nothing into the system? Why does the government refuse to take action? Want to improve the employment picture, reduce healthcare costs, reduce crime, and reduce the deficit – you know what needs to be done. A great first step in deterring these people from coming here in the first place would be to stop granting citizenship to children born to illegal aliens. These people know that if they have a baby here, the baby automatically becomes a citizen, and then they are very unlikely to be deported. There are actually travel agencies in this country that specialize in assisting pregnant foreign nationals perpetrate this scam on the American people. When will the American taxpayer push back? Is there anyone left in Washington with a brain? When will Congress stop throwing money around and address the source of the problem? When will we say enough is enough and stop having to press one for English? 7-30-2009
Protestors once again ignored by the press.
If you’ve been to the Home Page today you’ve likely noticed the videos of Mr. Obama’s motorcade being met by protestors. So did the media cover or even mention them; not that I can find. Whenever President Bush traveled anywhere, if 20 nut-jobs showed up the press called it a “large number of protestors,” or “greeted by massive protests.” The press couldn’t get enough of Cindy Sheehan and her fellow America hating freaks, but those protesting this Administration get nearly zero coverage. The mainstream media has stopped even pretending to be unbiased; they have checked their integrity at the door and signed onto the Obama bandwagon. Dan Rather, in a speech he made Tuesday night, called for Mr. Obama to “save the press.” This is an odd request from Rather who is probably now best known for using documents he knew were false to slander President Bush. Rather, a prime example of what’s wrong with the media, has proposed a White House commission on “public media.” Great, just what we need, more government control of the media! So how do we counter this anti-American, Pro-Obama, Pro-Socialist media? First, we must do a better job of self promotion by issuing press releases prior to events; Tea Party Nation did a great job of this for the July 2nd rally and got the attention of 4 local TV affiliates. Next, when writing or calling your elected officials, maybe we should shoot a few to our local TV, Radio and Newspapers. Don’t hesitate to ask them why they have neglected to cover certain events or topics. Write a few well crafted “Letters to the Editor,” maybe you’ll find a sympathetic ear. Will any of this have an effect, I’m not sure, but I do know Mr. Obama’s approval ratings are dropping. In theory, the lower his numbers go, the more opportunities there should be for his opponents to be heard; the more attention we draw to the issues, the lower his approval ratings should go. I’m sending this little Rant to my local media; I hope you’ll join me. 7-29-2009
It’s about freedom people!
I often hear liberals (including those in the media) relentlessly slamming the Tea Party Groups. These lefties claim our opposition to this out of control government spending is driven by racism. These liberal sheep, blindly following the Messiah, claim that the protestors are only opposed to Mr. Obama because he’s black. They claim we’re only against healthcare because we hate poor people. They claim we are against Cap & Trade because we are being financed by Big Oil. They claim we’re against new taxes because we don’t want to pay ‘our fair share.’ They claim we are NOT a grass roots organization, but are really financed by the GOP. Enough! Tell the truth! This is about freedom – freedom of speech, freedom of choice, freedom from government intrusion, freedom from government control of industry, freedom to pursue success in a free market system. Here’s a thought – how about elections free of ACORN corruption. The truth is these liberals think they know what’s best for you and your family, and they will force you to comply like it or not. Think you have the right to decide what kind of car you drive – not if Cap & Trade passes. Think you have the right to choose the best healthcare possible for your family – not if Obamacare passes. Think you have the right to work hard and be successful – not if they regulate you or your employer out of business. If by chance you do happen to survive out there – they’ll penalize you with new taxes to make sure you pay your fair share. Michelle Obama told us right up front that someone was going to have to give up their piece of the pie so others could have some – her husband is working hard to make that reality. The liberals look at the American people as far too stupid to take care of themselves – they must make all our decisions for us. They must have greater control of society to make it ‘fair.’ Yes, these people who can’t run anything well, want to run your life. Take a look at government housing – would you consider this program a success? Maybe Pelosi and Reid should be forced to live in government housing with government healthcare before they force it on us. If this Obamacare program is so great why is Congress exempt from participation? Considering the governments track record, do you really want them controlling more?

Obama, Gates, Conyers….Vick? It’s another one of those days, you know, when the news coming at you is so twisted you just don’t know which topic to focus on first. You have Congressman Conyers (D-Mich) laughing at the idea of actually reading the healthcare bill, gee he obviously knows what he’s doing, just look at Michigan! Then we have Mr. Obama relaxing his lobbyist rules in an attempt to shore up support for his healthcare bill; so much for that campaign promise. You have Mr. Obama inviting his racist buddy to have a beer with the Police Officer he slandered and calling it a teachable moment! Well, it should be a teachable moment for the liberals who voted for this clown - your President is a racist. Oh and by the way, Israeli protestors in Jerusalem have also labeled Mr. Obama a racist for his actions against Israel. Oh my, where to start? Oh wait, here’s a story about another piece of human garbage who shockingly isn’t a politician! The NFL has reinstated that waste of oxygen, Michael Vick. Remember this psycho who ran a dog fighting ring; this human scum who tortured, maimed, hung and drowned dogs when they no longer fit his needs? The NFL has made a huge mistake by allowing Vick to return to the NFL where he could potentially influence millions of young Americans. Is this the type of individual that kids should look up to? Should young people be running around wearing the jersey of this monster? Vick isn’t fit to work the nightshift in a bowling alley, much less play a sports hero. I can only hope that the team owners will wisely pass on signing this bozo. People like Michael Vick make a strong argument for keeping abortion legal; too bad he survived Roe vs. Wade. 7-27-2009 The Red Shirts are coming!
It’s unusual for me to find myself at a loss for words, but it has happened today. I just find myself watching this video over and over in complete disbelief. The video I’m referring to is one posted by breakdownofamerica.com of a rally against Obamacare. So what’s so special about this video? Watch it! The Red Shirts I referred to are those worn by ACORN members as they use a police officer to keep people from talking! Yes, I said talking! When you watch the video, and you need to, you see a police officer doing the bidding of the ACORN thugs. If you’re not familiar with ACORN you can visit my ACORN page to get up to speed, but in a ‘nutshell’ they are political extortionists. Oh yea, in case you forgot, Barack Obama worked for ACORN in Chicago during his days as a ‘Community Organizer.’ In case you forgot, ACORN in under indictment in several states for election fraud. In case you forgot, ACORN will be a large participant in next years Census courtesy of the White House. This video clearly shows a police officer, under the direction of ACORN suppressing the 1st Amendment rights of the protestors. This video wouldn’t be as shocking if it was sot in China or Iran, but Louisiana? As Mr. Obama and his lapdogs in Congress work to push the country into socialism, his ACORN thugs are in the streets to silence the dissent. Our Founding Fathers did not mince words when they crafted the First Amendment, and they considered it so crucial that they made it the First Amendment added to our Constitution. We are under attack; our freedoms are under attack, if we allow this to continue we will lose our freedoms forever. We must act now; we must put this video in everyone’s face and demand answers and demand justice. 7-25-2009 Did you really think you would get an apology from the Great One?
Mr. Obama is feeling the heat, he just played the race card in defense of his friend and it's come back to haunt him. Without knowing the facts of the case Mr. Obama made the determination that this was simply another case of racial profiling. If there was racial profiling involved in this incident, it was on the part of Mr. Obama. Mr. Obama, without knowing the facts, told the entire nation the Cambridge Police Dept. acted "stupidly." Yesterday, as more of the facts began to come out about what really happened during the arrest of Professor Gates, Mr. Obama made a feeble attempt at back-peddling. "In my choice of words, I unfortunately gave an impression that I was maligning the Cambridge Police Department or Sergeant Crowley specifically. I could have calibrated those words differently, and I told this to Sergeant Crowley.”

Did you really think you would get an apology from this egomaniac? The facts prove that the police officer acted correctly, it was Obama’s buddy Professor Gates who was out of line, but Barack still says it was the police who over reacted. Most ethical and transparent Administration ever – yea right. 7-24-2009 If the President can do it, so can I. Not having been there and not knowing all the facts, let me say this... As I understand it, Sgt. James Crowley of the Cambridge Massachusetts police department was responding to a suspected burglary of a residence when he arrived at the residence to find Henry Gates Jr., a professor at Harvard University, inside. Following procedure installed for the safety of the officer and the citizen, officer Crowley asked Professor Gates to come out of the residence so he could ascertain Gates’ identification. Instead of following the officer’s orders as he is compelled by law to follow, Professor Gates instead choose to initiate a verbal confrontation with the officer by demanding Sgt. Crowley produce his own identification. All arguments end here. When a police officer asks anyone, no matter their race, position or where they are, to produce identification they are required by law to do just that. Refusal to do so is a criminal offense - period. It has been my experience in just about any situation like this there is one person’s version of the situation, there is the other person’s version and there is the truth. The truth in this case is that Professor Gates made a conscious decision to ignore the officer’s lawful requests and at that very point created the incident he claims was racially motivated. It was Professor Gates’ criminal actions, not officer Crowley’s insensitivity to anyone’s race that created this much over-blown incident. Gates’ continued proclamations of innocence, mistreatment and racially motivated misconduct on Sgt. Crowley’s part is nothing more an attempt to deflect the moral and legal blame he obviously lacks the character to recognize and accept. Professor Gates’ actions in this matter smack of the very racism of which he claims to be a victim of. Harvard University is supposed to be one of the most prestigious institutions of learning in this country. I would hope the President and Fellows of Harvard College and the Harvard Board of Overseers would not want the university’s reputation tarnished by racial impropriety of any of it’s professors real or perceived. Professor Gates’ inability to recognize and admit his mistake and most importantly his attempt to inject racism into a situation where it did not exist anywhere but in his own words and actions clearly prove he is morally and ethically unfit to serve in any capacity in your or any other reputable university in this country. I would also hope the President, Fellows and Board of Overseers can find it within themselves to do the right thing and demand the immediate resignation of Professor Henry Gates Jr. as through word and deed he clearly shows he lacks the integrity or moral fabric to tender it voluntarily. 7-23-2009 Just when things look the darkest….a ray of sunshine.
Just when I’m ready to hang it up and delete the whole thing something happens to bring back a little ray of sunshine. Blogging can be a lonely thing, a short revealing conversation that often yields only criticism and personal attacks. Trying to make a difference by participating in this muddy and overcrowded area of the media seems at times an insurmountable task. A recent issue with my home page, which was caused by my own stupidity, made me once again consider walking away. Why put in the effort, does it really matter, does any one really care, why bother? Well, believe it or not, some people do care; a few rare words of thanks or encouragement can change the whole picture. When I get that comment or email that says “thanks you brightened my day,” then I remember why I started doing this in the first place. When I get up in the morning and the political picture is just a little bit brighter, it reveals to me a slightly closer light at the end of the tunnel. Looking back over the last 6 months, in spite of a biased mainstream media, I would have to say that things are actually shifting our way. The Cap & Trade bill is stuck in Committee and Obamacare may be dead on arrival. Mr. Obama’s approval ratings are dropping and his programs are rapidly losing support in Congress. People are becoming more aware, people are waking up, people are beginning to stand up; there just might be hope for our nation yet. So stay involved my friends – keep up the emails, letters, faxes and phone calls to Congress - someone is indeed listening. 7-22-2009 Is ‘Global Warming’ just on vacation?
Cities across the nation are recording record low temperatures and a lot of people are asking themselves, where’s this Global Warming? I know, I know – we’re NOW supposed to call it Climate Change, this new title apparently gives them license to attribute ANY odd weather to the Al Gore Theory. One individual recently told me that “they were forced to change the name so idiots like me could understand it!” I find it a bit odd because that much heralded ‘documentary’ An Inconvenient Truth told us rising temperatures would melt the ice caps, cause worldwide draught, and flood all coastal areas. Our great protectors, the open-minded progressives in Washington, are fighting relentlessly to impose an economy killing energy tax to save us from these rising temperatures! The fact is global temperatures have been dropping for 10 years; wouldn’t it seem logical to take this little fact into consideration before imposing such radical legislation? The Global Warming Movement has become a religion, a faith in something unseen, and a belief in something that can’t be scientifically proven. It seems to me I’ve seen the left rail against the ‘unproven’ beliefs that are held by millions of other Americans. As I remember, they called them something like desperate simpletons clinging to their bibles and guns. When cornered they tell us Global Warming must be true because it has now been ‘widely accepted’ as true; by using this standard of proof, wouldn’t that also support the existence of God? Despite its lack of facts and proven exaggerations, An Inconvenient Truth has been shown in schools around the globe. School teachers are forbidden under penalty of law from mentioning God or religion unless they are trying to debunk them, but Global Warming is taught as FACT. Think about that as you break out your jacket in July.

If you’ve attempted to actually read the Cap & Trade bill, unlike your Representative in the House, you may have noticed the clause about REEP. If you can weed your way through the legal jargon it’s buried in, you’ll find a very scary, economy killing section no one seems to be talking about. This bill would force homeowners to provide proof, from an unnamed state authority, that their home meets new EPA energy efficiency standards in order to sell their house. Oh, by the way, these standards have yet to be disclosed or determined. Did you get that? You would be unable to sell you’re home if it doesn’t meet these undisclosed energy standards. Would you need a new solar reflective roof? Would you need a new ‘green’ heating and cooling system? Would you have to have new windows, wall insulation, solar water heater, energy star appliances, radiant barrier, etc? So what will the banks do with all those repossessed houses they can’t sell? What about people in financial trouble who need to sell their house to stay afloat? What about historical homes? How about Habitat for Humanity houses, how much more will it cost to build these? These types of retrofits do not come cheap; do you really think builders will invest in building low income housing when construction prices could increase by $30,000-$40,000 or more per unit? Mr. Obama says we need to spark the housing market, does anyone in their right mind think this will help the housing market? Can this guy really be this dumb? How many more people will lose their homes because they simply can’t afford the improvements necessary to sell them? People, wake up! This government is completely out of touch and out of control. Where does the Constitution give them the authority to do any of this? These socialist traitors are counting on the fact that Americans are either too dumb or too lazy to pay attention or even care. Do yourself and your country a favor – prove them wrong. Mr. Obama is strutting around telling us the stimulus is working, yea right, while imposing one economy killing bill after another. Get on the phone and put them on notice – let them know you are paying attention and they will be held accountable for their actions.

Good morning everyone, I hope you are enjoying your weekend. While you were busy working (or looking for work) our dedicated elected officials were hard at work destroying the country and making sure that issues important to you never make it to the floor. On Thursday Republicans in the House attempted to force debates on abortion, school vouchers, gay marriage, and gun control; they were blocked. While the powers in Washington are attempting to ram more socialism down our throats by seizing control of our healthcare system, your voice is being ignored. The left is filling the airwaves with TV and radio ads filled with pro-socialist propaganda trying to sell this monstrous ‘healthcare’ bill to the American people (who do you think is paying for these ads?) Remember how they pushed the stimulus with this same type of garbage? How’s that worked out for you? Mr. Obama knows he only has a short window of time to pass his agenda, if he can’t get it done by August his odds of success drop significantly. Obama’s approval rating is dropping and the mid-term election season starts in 6 months, we need to take advantage of every opportunity to delay his proposals. Make sure your Senators and Representatives are fully aware of your opposition to the Obama agenda. Spread the word to everyone you know, the time for action is now.
How’s that stimulus working out for you? 7-17-2009 The United States Senate successfully attached a new ‘Hate Crimes’ bill (S909) to a defense appropriation bill yesterday effectively assuring its passage. Attaching a completely unrelated bill to defense spending is an old political ploy that has been used frequently by both parties. The purpose of this attachment is to force Senators who oppose the bill to vote for it by default when they vote for the defense bill. Should a Senator vote against it, or even oppose it on the floor, they become political dog meat for voting against funding our troops. Get the idea? The liberals in Congress know that the majority of Americans (who are even aware of it) are opposed to the language contained in this left-wing piece of trash so they employed this little tactic to slip it through as part of a larger bill. Do you think Americans really believe that every group except Whites and Christians should have special protections under the law? If you think I missed someone please tell me who! Can you even imagine how this bill could be ‘interpreted’ by a “wise Latina woman?” I thought Justice was supposed to be blind, everyone equal under the law, everyone equal in the eyes of the Court? Do you really believe that these laws are being applied fairly? Really, just ask the white family in Akron OH that was attacked on their front porch and severely beaten by black youths shouting ‘it’s a black world.’ This vicious attack was clearly driven by racial hatred so why it haven’t the offenders been charged with a hate crime? Where’s the media coverage? Why aren’t Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton racing to the aide of these victims of a racially driven attack? This hate crimes trash has been around for along time, but this major expansion to even more ‘special’ groups is nothing more than a direct attack on the belief that we are all created equal. This is just another example of the left-wing ‘progressives’ seeking to further divide our nation. The more they seek to divide us into ‘special groups’ and ‘protected classes’ the more they divide us as Americans and the more we “need them to protect us.” It is a sad day in America. 7-16-2009 Obama says Healthcare ‘Reform’ is urgent!
Remember the Stimulus package that no one read, but passed both houses with ease? Remember the Cap & Trade Bill that no one read that recently passed the House? Now here comes the monstrous Healthcare Bill that Obama is demanding Congress pass by August. This bloated pork filled bill, which isn’t even close to being finished, is already at 850 pages and growing daily; do you really think they’ll take the time to read this one? Prepare yourself for a massive job killing piece of socialist trash to be rammed down our throats if we allow it. Mr. Obama is rushing to pass as much of his socialist agenda as possible this year, ask yourself why. First of all, the more people learn about these bills, the less support there is for them. Take Cap & Trade for example; despite a massive majority in the House, the liberals barely squeaked it through because of public pressure against it. House Democrats knew they could face a backlash in next year’s election if they supported a bill that increased energy costs. Second, next year is an election year, which will make it much harder for congress to pass controversial legislation. Even liberal Dems try to talk up moderate/conservative values when on the campaign trail. Proposing job killing programs paid for by massive tax increases are hard to sell to voters in an election year. Which brings me to my final point; Obama knows he could lose control of Congress next year so he has to act NOW. Next year, every member of the House plus 36 Senators will be asking you to rehire them for their current position. If 2010 bears any resemblance to 1994, Obama will have zero chance of passing any further socialist ‘reforms.’ Do you now have a better understanding of what Mr. Obama means by urgent? Do you now understand why they won’t take the time to read these bills before passing them? Do you now understand why it is urgent that we take action now?

Please forward this to everyone you know, post it to your website, blog, Facebook, MySpace, etc; it really does make a difference. 7-15-2009 Soldier takes on Obama and wins, sort of. US Army Major Stefan Frederick Cook took on President Obama and won, sort of. Major Cook, who was scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan, filed a suit on July 8th in US District Court seeking a temporary restraining order. Major Cook stated that Mr. Obama has failed to prove that he is a natural born citizen of the United States, a Constitutional requirement. Major Cook’s suit claimed that Mr. Obama is ineligible to be President and therefore has no authority to deploy troops. Cook claimed that without a legitimate Commander-in-Chief US troops in overseas action could be tried as war criminals. While MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann was quick to call the soldier a coward and an embarrassment, the military gave in and revoked his deployment orders. The Military gave no explanation for their decision to revoke the order. Why would the military give in? Most likely, with several other court challenges pending against Barack, they simply wanted to avoid giving the case anymore publicity. However, the unintended consequence of their decision is to add further legitimacy to other pending suits. Why has the White House refused to allow the release of a legitimate birth certificate along with Barack’s school records? I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again – if the documents exist why not release them and be done with it. It has been claimed that the original long form birth certificate does indeed exist and Hawaiian officials have examined it. So, again, why not just release the records and put an end to these persistent questions? Why is the White House fighting so hard to keep Obama’s records from public view? What is in those records that Mr. Obama doesn’t want you to see?
7-14-2009 Sadly, race takes precedent over qualifications.
While the Senate confirmation hearings for the first Hispanic Supreme Court nominee dominated the headlines, Obama quietly nominated the first black woman as surgeon general. Now, let me be perfectly clear, I do not care what color you are; period. When choosing candidates for important, high profile positions in government, or any other position for that matter, race and ethnicity should have absolutely no bearing on the decision. The use of race as a determining factor in such appointments is the very definition of racism. The first African-American President, possibly more African than we have previously been led to believe, seems to look at race first and qualifications second. Eric Holder, the first black attorney general, has a much sorted history of manipulating the law to fit his desired goal – see the Elian Gonzales case. Is Eric Holder the individual most qualified to hold this post? Sonia Sotomayor, the first Hispanic female ever nominated to the Supreme Court, has a long history of racist statements, liberal activism, and is a card carrying member of La Raza (which means THE RACE.) Sotomayor has previously stated that Appeals Court Judges “create policy,” yet promised the Senate yesterday that she would strictly apply the law. Sotomayor has repeatedly stated that a “wise Latino woman would reach a better decision than a white male.” Is Sonia Sotomayor the individual most qualified to hold this post? Barack Obama has now nominated Dr. Regina Benjamin for Surgeon General, the first black female ever to be nominated for the position. Dr Benjamin is a family practice physician in rural Alabama, and although she seems to have a solid record, seems an unlikely candidate for Surgeon General based solely on her qualifications. A small town doctor, who I dare say appears a tad overweight, is hardly qualified to be the guiding light for America’s healthcare system. Is Dr. Benjamin the individual most qualified to hold this post? The simple fact is, people are afraid to say anything about Obama’s choices for fear of being labeled a racist. These nominees will be confirmed because of their race regardless of their views or qualifications. Liberals will pat themselves on the back for being so open minded and progressive, while unknowingly (we hope) further dividing the nation on the issue of race. Speaking out against the Obama Administration itself will immediately get you labeled as a racist. Obama has used this tactic, repeatedly and successfully, since his earliest days as a radical racial extortionist with ACORN. This Administration, if it had taken a balanced approach, had golden opportunity to defuse many of the remaining racial tensions in our nation; it has now effectively squandered that opportunity. Every time a decision is made based on race, it fosters a culture of inequality and distrust among all races. Eric Holder called us a “nation of cowards” when it comes to discussing racial issues, well I could explain to Mr. Holder why this persists by simply forwarding him the responses I’ll receive to this rant. This Administration, and its guilty liberal supporters, is doing more to widen the racial divide than any in my lifetime. Why is it that Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson, who works tirelessly to end distrust between Americans of all races, is labeled an “Uncle Tom” and regularly receives death threats – while Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton, who profit from racism, rub elbows with Barack and Michelle Obama? The truth is organizations like the NAACP and La Raza want and need to keep us divided; their very existence is dependant on the continuation of racial tension. When will we remove the labels they use to divide and separate us? When will Hispanic-American, African-American, Italian-American, Cuban-American, Asian-American, etc; be replaced with just plain old AMERICAN? Isn’t the very term ‘minority’ just another label or category they try to lock us into? America is the greatest nation ever to grace the face of the planet, we are not perfect, we make mistakes and we’ll surely make more, but we’re better than this. If we are to survive as a nation we must toss aside our differences and unite as Americans. Wrong is wrong, regardless of who perpetrates the offense and as Americans we must have the courage to stand up and call it for what it is. I was just watching the news, and I caught part of a report on Michael
Jackson as we all know, Jackson died the other day. He was an
entertainer who performed for decades. He made millions, he spent
millions, and he did a lot of things that make him a villain to many
people. I understand that his death would affect a lot of people, and
I respect those people who mourn his death, but that isn't the point
of my rant.
Why is it that when ONE man dies, the whole of America loses their
minds with grief? When a man dies whose only contribution to the
country was to ENTERTAIN people, the American people find the need to flock to a memorial in Hollywood, and even Congress sees the need to hold a "moment of silence" for his passing?
Am I missing something here? ONE man dies, and all of a sudden he's a freaking martyr because he entertained us for a few decades? What about all those SOLDIERS who have died to give us freedom? All those Soldiers who, knowing that they would be asked to fight in a war, still raised their hands and swore to defend the Constitution and the United States of America. Where is there moment of silence? Where are the people flocking to their graves or memorials and mourning over them because they made the ultimate sacrifice? Why is it when a Soldier dies, there are more people saying "good riddance," and "thank God for IEDs?" When did this country become so calloused to the sacrifice of GOOD MEN and WOMEN that they can arbitrarily blow off their deaths, and instead, throw themselves into mourning for a "Pop Icon?"
I think that if they are going to hold a moment of silence IN CONGRESS for Michael Jackson, they need to hold a moment of silence for every service member killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. They need to PUBLICLY recognize every life that has been lost so that the American people can live their callous little lives in the luxury and freedom that WE, those that are living and those that have gone on, have provided for them. But, wait, that would take too much time, because there have been so many willing to make that sacrifice. After all, we will never make millions of dollars. We will never star in movies, or write hit songs that the world will listen too. We only shed our blood, sweat and tears so that people can enjoy what they have.

I think nearly everyone has now seen the picture of Obama leering at a 16 year old Brazilian girl at the G8 summit, but what price does Obama pay for it? ABC (All Barack Channel) staunchly defends Mr. Obama saying the picture is deceiving, the lefties write it off as a ploy by ‘The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy’ and the Administration uses it as a much needed distraction from their crushing failures. Obama, on the Great Apology Tour Part 3, went to Russia touting his reset button and walked away empty handed. Obama agreed to cut the American nuclear arsenal by one third, the Russians demanded the US NOT build a missile defense shield and proposed replacing the dollar as the international reserve currency. Wow, Obama sure is the master negotiator! The Cap & Trade bill, which just squeaked through the House, has now been delayed by the Senate until early fall. Obama’s attempt to gain support from China and India on his plan for a global emissions cap failed miserably. Sonia Sotomayor, Barack’s first attempt at a destroying the Supreme Court, begins her Senate Confirmation hearings on Monday with the second highest public opposition ever. Joe Biden has been trying and failing to convince anyone that the $787 Billion stimulus package is working. The dollar is dropping, taxes are rising, unemployment is soaring, the deficit is raging, and Obama’s support is dropping as Americans are growing impatient. If you take a step back and look at the big picture, a 16 year old Brazilian girl is the least of Barack’s troubles.

Yes, the Great One and his spell bound minions have now released three official documents containing ‘typos.’ The latest error occurred in a Press Release regarding an $18 million reworking of the Stimulus Tracking website. Yes, you read that right, $18 million for a Website! Call me crazy, like you’ve never done that before, but I think they need to shop around for a new webmaster! Hey, maybe while they’re at it they might pick up a copy of ‘Microsoft Word for Dummies!’ The same Administration that wants to control your healthcare, because they know what’s best for us, can’t competently complete a press release. Oh wait, I know, it must be URGENT! The time for action is NOW, no time to actually read the thing, the American people need this press release now! Can you imagine the uproar if this had happened during the Bush Administration? So here it is folks, the true Hope & Change millions voted for, complete incompetence from the top down. 7-09-2009 Healthcare ‘Reform’ Bill funds new parks?
The big pie-in-the-sky garbage just keeps pouring out of Washington. The massive government healthcare scheme proposed by the Obama Regime contains funding for sidewalks, bike paths, parks, jungle gyms, and street lights (doesn’t that waste electricity and promote global warming?) Apparently the Dems will waste no opportunity to pack any and all legislation full of wasteful pork. Those who support the Bill claim these ‘investments’ will promote physical activity and improve the overall health of Americans. Unfortunately, I have recently witnessed other such wise ‘investments,’ and the results are anything but desirable. The government, in its infinite wisdom, spent taxpayer money to build a park on the outskirts of beautiful Gary, IN, hometown of pedophile hero Michael Jackson. This park was a liberals dream of ‘community renewal’ complete with jungle gyms, walking paths, lighting and basketball courts (sound familiar?) Now, thanks to the wisdom of government, this once empty field is a scary graffiti covered park serving as little more than a haven for gangs and drug dealers. The Dems seem under the impression that ‘if you build it they will come,’ they obviously believe building more parks will make people use them for exercise. The truth of the matter is the Dems will spend Billions of taxpayer dollars on parks and their supporters will continue to play X-Box, eat at McDonalds, and watch dancing with the stars. So what will this power hungry regime do when this plan fails? Will they fine you for NOT exercising? They have already proposed increased taxes on cigarettes, alcohol, fast food and sugary drinks; what’s next? They have even proposed fining anyone who fails to obtain ‘satisfactory’ health insurance. There is also a proposal to offer lower ‘government insurance premiums’ to those who can prove they have taken measures to improve their health. Make no mistake; this is just another part of their plan to control you. They want to control what you drive, what you watch, how much electricity you use, what you eat and drink and what kind of health insurance you have. They want to control the auto industry, the production of energy, the banks, and any other company they deem ‘critical to the economy.’ Can someone please tell me where the Constitution gives them the authority to do any of this? Does this sound like independence or government dependence? Does this sound like The United Sates of America or Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela? Please, help us stop this before it’s too late. 7-08-2009 So how’s that stimulus working out for you?
Unemployment is at 9.5% and rising, Wall Street is at a 10 week low, and those so-called green shoots of economic growth seem to have been choked out by weeds. Despite all the promises by Obama and pals concerning the Stimulus Package, the economy continues to tank. While less than 3% of the Stimulus funds have actually been spent (last I heard, you may correct me on this) there is now some talk of a SECOND STIMULUS! Ok, call me crazy, but if we haven’t spent the first one yet, why do we need another one? If they have only spent $2.36 Billion (3%), where is the other $784.64 Billion? The Treasury has auctioned $963 Billion in bonds and Treasury notes so far this year with another $1.1 Trillion in borrowing planned for the 2nd half of the year; so where’s the money? Will someone please tell us what they are doing with our money? People; please don’t forget that all important point, this is taxpayer money - our money. Remember not so long ago, Candidate Obama promised to ‘Jolt’ the economy into action? Based on where we are, I would have to say he's failed miserably. This Administration is a disaster and it’s time to cut the purse strings. Fool me once, shame on you – fool me twice, shame on me. Put your elected officials on notice – stop the wasteful, out-of-control spending or find a new job. So how’s that stimulus working out for you? 7-07-2009 Is it just me, or do you find it amazing that our country is gushing over Michael Jackson? The Networks are ramming down our throats what an amazing person he was while conveniently overlooking the fact that he was an accused pedophile. It simply turns my stomach that they may actually put this guy on a postage stamp. Gee, why not put Gacy and Dahmer on there next? Is this really the job of the media; do they simply exist to fill the airwaves with pop culture? I thought they were supposed to be the watchdogs? Obama, in his infinite wisdom, has agreed to further weaken our nuclear deterrent, but the media interviews Jermaine Jackson. The Senate has reconvened to begin debating the Cap & Trade bill, but the media reports on Jackson’s glorious career. Barney Frank diverted repaid bank bailout funds away from the taxpayers into a slush fund, but the media reports on Elizabeth Taylor’s remarks on Twitter. How sad is it that so many American’s truly have no idea what’s going on in the world. The media has sold their souls for ratings, and abandoned their integrity to support a left wing agenda. When you ask yourself how we got in this mess, look no further than the mainstream media. Do yourself a favor, change the channel.
7-06-2009 Where do we go from here?
The majority of the TEA Parties have now passed, and with just a few currently left on the schedule many of us are getting a much needed rest. I have to believe most of us are cautiously encouraged by the growth of the movement and the solid turn out across the country. As we review the results of our actions, that glaring question once again arises, what’s next? When is the next round of protests, what’s our next actions, how do we best capitalize on our recent successes? Allow me, if you will, to toss out a few ideas out there. We need to build on the momentum of the recent TEA Parties to expand our membership. Reach out to everyone we know and educate them about the movement, talk to neighbors, coworkers, and church members; we could easily double our ranks in a single day if we each do our part. We must find a way to coordinate the efforts of the many different groups that make up the movement. I would suggest using a web-based national information clearing house to enable local, county, and state level groups to communicate, coordinate and combine their efforts. Our true strength lies in our ability to stand together, in massive numbers, all expressing the same strong, logical and focused message. We all know there is a major push to march on Washington Sept. 12th, an idea I love and support! I would encourage anyone who has the time and money to make the trip to do so. However, we all know there are many people who will not be able to make the trip and still want to make their voices heard. I would propose holding Rally’s around the country, focused in larger cities, to coincide with this march. We must focus on stopping Cap & Trade and Socialized medicine. These two bills will have disastrous results for our nation and will be extremely difficult to reverse once in place. We need to use our established networks to blitz our elected officials with emails, faxes, and phone calls. We could use the vehicles in place to identify the most vulnerable Senators and wisely focus our resources on them. We must identify officials at all levels of government who either need to be removed or who deserve our support. We have to be smart about this, if you throw our one liberal only to replace them with another, we gain nothing. We need to identify good candidates for these positions, and work to elect them. Remember folks, just as there are no perfect people, there are no perfect politicians. So there you have it, my humble suggestions on where to steer this thing next:
1. Expand our membership. 2. Coordinate the efforts of the different groups together as one. 3. March on Washington while also holding Rallies in all major cities. 4. Focus our combined efforts to stop Cap & Trade and Socialized Medicine. 5. Work to elected good candidates and remove poor ones.
Let’s take this momentum we’ve built and turn it into a full court press. If we don’t take the initiative, who will? 7-03-2009
What is a TEA Party? ‘The Rant heard Around the World’ by Rick Santelli on Feb. 19th is widely credited for starting the Tea Party Movement. Speaking from the floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Santelli expressed his outrage with Obama’s mortgage bailout plan and called for a Chicago Tea Party in July. Santelli’s statement struck a nerve with thousands of conservatives and protests, now known as Tea Parties, began sprouting up around the country a mere 10 days later. The use of the term ‘Tea Party’ refers of course to the Boston Tea Party of 1773 where disgusted citizens dumped taxed tea into Boston Harbor to protest their ‘Taxation without Representation.’ Supporters of the TEA Party Movement, like those early patriots, feel they are being unfairly taxed by a far away, out of touch government. Let me ask you a question if I may, historical reference aside, are these really parties? There are undoubtedly some among us would like to think so, grill up some hotdogs, tap the keg, wave the flag, make some noise and everything will be fine. Sorry to disappoint some of you and I mean no disrespect, but these are not parties, these are protests. This is serious business folks and the very future of our nation depends upon it. We must join together, regardless of political affiliation, to not only stop this governments slide into socialism, but to completely reverse its course. This Administration, along with its liberal allies in Congress, is ramming socialist policies through at a staggering pace; the time for action is now. We have only a short window of time with which to work if we are to make a meaningful impact. I’m calling on each of you to please get involved today. Our nation is under attack from within; the true enemy of freedom walks the halls of Congress and resides in the White House. Does going Green have to mean going broke? Is it just me or have you also noticed the massive blitz of commercials about Healthcare Reform and ‘Green Jobs?’ It seems you can’t turn on the TV or radio lately without being force-fed at least one of these propaganda productions. Do you ever recall legislation being sold to the public in this manner at this level? Do you find it odd that the Cap & Trade Bill is being sold to the public as a ‘Green Jobs Bill?’ They fail to mention one small detail - that this is the largest tax increase in American history! They try to sell you this garbage by promising ‘Millions of Green Jobs;’ they fail to mention the millions of jobs that will be lost due to this massive attack on American industry. We don’t have to guess at the impact of this bill; we can look at the results of a similar program imposed in Spain. Did that program create jobs, why yes it did! This brilliant program created 1 job for every 3 that were lost! How does 19% unemployment sound to you? Your liberal leaders love this program- more taxes and higher energy costs, but does it sound like a good idea to you? So who is paying for this propaganda, and why? These ads identify their sponsors as non-partisan groups for environmental protection. The truth is they are paid for by left wing lobbyists such as George Soros and Al Gore who are seeking to profit from this Bill at the expense of our economy. They are using the same media tactics that Obama used to win the White House; put it in a slick package and sell it to the sheep. They know that if they feed the public a lie long enough and often enough, eventually they will believe it. Wake up people; they are not working in your best interest. We all want clean air and clean water, but shutting down the US economy won’t get us there. Sending the remaining US manufacturing jobs overseas won’t get us there. Do you really think China and India will adopt a Cap & Trade type program? Please, these countries will take full advantage of an over regulated America. Eight Senators who carry an ‘R’ next to their name, Senators who claim to be conservatives, just voted for the largest tax increase in American history under the guise of climate protection. Barack, our all-knowing all-powerful overlord, selects a Supreme Court nominee whose rulings have been repeatedly overturned by the High Court. Sonia Sotomayor, a racist activist judge and out spoken member of La Raza, is a poised to join the nations highest court? Barack Obama proposes a budget that runs deficits greater than all previous presidents combined and calls it “A New Era of Responsibility?” The death of an accused pedophile dominates all forms of media, yet the growing protests against our government’s rush to Socialism is all but completely ignored. Left wing nut jobs are running our Country into the ground, but hard working, patriotic Americans and our brave soldiers returning from war are being profiled as potential terrorists. How did we get here, have we gone completely mad? Has America gone completely brain dead? Would our Founding Fathers even recognize this country as the Republic they gave everything for? Are you really ok with trading your independence for a government handout? Have we become so soft and complacent that we’re willing to give up our freedoms without a fight? Maybe you have, but I refuse to sit quietly on the sidelines and watch. I will fight back, I will make as much noise as I can, I will go kicking and screaming all the way. Maybe, just maybe, if you and others like you join me in the fight; we can put the brakes on this madness. The choice is yours to make.
