Nancy Pelosi proclaims she's bipartisan as she rams a bill through with no Republican votes. Barack promises tough times ahead as he holds cocktail parties and plans his White House Super Bowl Party. Blagojevich proclaims his innocence to those delusional old hags on The View, while the IL Senate plays audio tapes of him plotting to sell Obama's Senate seat. Moveon.org runs TV ads in an attempt to silence Obama critic Rush Limbaugh as the Dems discuss bringing back the 'Fairness Doctrine' to end conservative talk radio. This is 'Change'? The only 'Change' I see is that Washington politics is starting to look a lot like Chicago politics. Rush might want be careful, he might end up 'Sleepin' with da fishes'.

Well, well well, the Dems sure are proud of passing this 'Stimulus Package' through the House. Their scheme is progressing as planned with one minor exception, zero Republicans voted for it. Despite the Dems promises of cooperation, they rammed this piece of pork through the House like a Glazed Ham through Rosie O'Donnell. After having spent the last 4 hours attempting to decipher this piece of trash I could no longer control the pulsing vein in my forehead and am passing the torch to you. Today is the day folks. Today those elected officials in the House will vote on Obama's pork package. Remember not so long ago Nancy Pelosi promised this bill would be free of earmarks (pork), well I hate to break it to you, but she lied. Much like the previous stimulus bill, that swelled from 2 pages to over 450 pages, this one is loaded with waste. The bill contains more money for new sod for the National Mall than it does for small business tax cuts. The bill lays out more cash for refundable tax credits for those who already pay no taxes than it does for those of us who do (see Monday's Rant.) Building a Mob Museum and a waterpark are obviously solid plans for stimulating the sagging economy, right? If it were your money, would you spend it this way? Hey folks, it is your money!

Barack H. Obama, the great unifier, a day after privately telling Republican lawmakers to stay out of his way, announces publicly he's willing to work with them. Yea, right. Then he gives his 1st official TV interview to Arab TV instead of the Networks that got him elected. Do you think he was sending a little warning to the US Press? Call me crazy, and many of you do, but this sure reeks of Propaganda. They are ramming left-wing socialist policies down our throats while sending out shining press releases stating the great progress and unity in the New Kingdom. Would you like an example? Let's take the auto industry, remember that $17.4 Billion bailout? Remember the dire warning of 2 million lost jobs? Now they are proposing new green regulations on the industry that would not only add $10,000 to the price of a car, but cost the industry upwards of $100 Billion. The scary thing is they claim this will 'Save' the US Auto Industry and eliminate our dependence on foreign oil; and they say it with a straight face! Stop. Think. Ask yourself where will the $100 Billion come from, come on, you know the answer. This is madness folks; you can not regulate businesses into success. Have any of these schmucks ever actually run a business, managed costs, and created jobs? Well, we know Barack has a hefty resume of...oh yea, I forgot.

Happy Monday folks! I imagine most of you are either at work or heading there soon, working hard to pay your bills, and of course, other peoples bills. Lot's of people talk about high taxes, welfare programs, government waste, etc., but no ones wants to address the elephant in the room. Yes, I am yet again ranting about the Earned Income Credit, better know as EIC. This program, originally started in the 70's, was designed to reduce or eliminate the Federal Tax paid by low income Americans. However noble the original concept, the program has now grown into a giant money pit. People who work very little, specially if they have alot of kids, can get a big check from the Taxpayers called a "Tax Refund." However, shouldn't you have to PAY taxes to get a refund? Let me give you a real life example:
Taxpayer A: Made $17.50 all year. That's it folks.
Taxpayer Spouse: Made $3300 all year.
Taxpayer A's brother-in-law lived on their couch and did not work all year.
Taxpayer A claims brother-in-law as a dependant(perfectly legal.)
Taxpayer A gets a 'Refund' of $1575. (47% of their yearly income)
Now let's add in the fact that they receive Food Stamps, get free medical care, and live in government subsidized housing: wait we can't speak of that!
Where does that $1575 come from, yes my friends, it comes from YOU! Happy Monday! Feel ripped off? You should. Now the real kicker, Barack, as part of the 'Stimulus Plan' wants to expand this program. This 'Jolts' the economy how?
There are too many folks piling on the wagon and not nearly enough of us out front pulling it, eventually the wagon will grind to a halt. Welcome to the ObamaNation.

Well, does everyone feel the glow of hope and change? Did you wake up today feeling all warm and fuzzy? Can you feel the unity that has swept our nation? Nope, me either. Barack is closing out many media outlets, allowing only those who donated millions to his campaign (ABC). The "transparency" he promised is being replaced with photos and statements released to the press. Let's look at the first couple of days:
Stopped the trials of admitted terrorists.
Proposed moving terrorists to US prisons.
Ordered Gitmo closed.
Ordered the end of harsh interrogation of terrorists.
Reversed the plan for increased offshore drilling.
Told Israel to open it's border with Gaza. (That's a joke right?)
Blocked the Press from taking pictures or asking questions.
And what about that "Stimulus Package?"
2.8 Billion to expand Broadband Internet.
$25 a week raise in Unemployment Compensation.
$20 Billion for electronic Health Records
$150 Billion for low income health care.
Tax cuts for those who pay no Federal Income Tax?
Can anyone tell me who this 'Jolts' the Economy?

As I get ready for work today, casually watching All Obama TV, I keep asking myself why. Why bother? Why should I drag myself to work when so many others refuse to do so? Why should I work 2 jobs, pay my bills, put money into the economy and pay my taxes, just so the Dems can give handouts to the losers who voted for Obama?
Today, 2 million people will crowd Washington to see their Messiah sworn in. I have to wonder what they do for a living? How did they get the time off work? After all, everyone is just struggling to get by right? They will all dance and sing the night away as the country slides into Communism. Yes I said Communism; the redistribution of wealth is the basic premise of this failed system of government, yet the sheep race headlong to the slaughter. Khrushchev claimed they would take America without a shot, as it turns out he was right. The United States spent decades fighting the spread of Communism, one generation of Liberals has now spread the disease to America.

Today it's hard to find much to smile about. The Market has turned your 401K into a 101K, unemployment is on the rise, and the Bears missed the Superbowl again. Barack has appointed a Cabinet that consists of Clinton retreads, a tree hugging lesbian, a member of the socialist party, a tax cheat, and a Governor under Federal investigation. UGH.
Barack will soon use the remaining half of the original $700 Billion dollar Bailout Package to help "troubled homeowners." Good idea, let's spend more taxpayer money to keep people in houses they couldn't afford in the first place. As a little side note, were you aware that of the homeowners who were allowed to "renegotiate" their mortgages, a full 60% of them are now in default again?
Barack and the Dem controlled congress are racing to spend an additional $825 Bil. on various projects guaranteed to accomplish nothing more than adding to the national debt. These folks are lining up to spend our money like drunken sailors on shore leave.
According to a recent poll, if Barack proceeds with his plan to allow gays to openly serve in the military, over 1/3 of our soldiers will not re-enlist. That's an interesting approach to reduce military spending. Here comes 'Change.'
Washington is geared up for a $150 mil inauguration of the New Messiah. Four years ago the Dems railed against Bush for spending $40 mil. calling it excessive. Where are these folks now? That's right, their partying like it's 1929!
Now, back to my original point, it's hard to find things to smile about. Fear not my friends, I have found one! According to a recent article, al Qaeda terrorists are dying from the Plague. Yes, I said the Plague. The article reports that leaders of the terrorist organization are worried that they have spread the disease to operatives around the world. Yes my friends, there is still SOME justice in the world, they might want to keep an eye out for Locust!

The news lately seems like some kind of bad sitcom. The government has been telling us to drive less to conserve energy, burn less gas to reduce demand, and like good little boys and girls, we have done as we were told. Now that gas prices are DOWN, they are considering raising the Federal Gas Tax. Why you ask? Well, Gas Tax revenues are down, because we are driving LESS!
Stephen Chu, Barack's Sec. of Energy, says gas prices should be RAISED to European levels to reduce consumption. $7 gal. gas anyone? Wow, that will surely get the economy get rolling?!?! Oh, and he shares Barack's dream of driving coal burning power plants out of business. Coal provides as much as 70% of our electricity, if we eliminate coal, just how expensive will electricity become? So much for that Plug in Electric Hybrid Car you've been dreaming of.
Roland Burris will be sworn in today as a US Senator despite the promises to block ANY appointment by Rod Blagojevich. Why the change of heart?
Barack appoints a tax cheat to head up the Treasury and therefore the IRS. Geithner was knee deep in the AIG mess, a disaster according to Barack, so let's put the guy in charge of all the cash! Wow, brilliant!
Barack says we all have to cut back, but he's spending a estimated $200 mil on his Inauguration.
Hillary Clinton, Sec. of State, say Global warming will be the cause of future wars. I practically froze to the seat waiting for my car to warm up, but we need to make radical changes to our lifestyle to stop this dangerous Global Warming? With record cold temperatures across the nation, is anyone still buying this?
Forget it, I'm going back to bed, wake me in 4 years.

President George W. Bush has given his final White House press conference today. Whatever your view of the President, I assure you that in the years to come, there will be times when we will miss him. When Obama bows to the pressure of the Global Warming fanatics, we will miss him. When Obama cowers in the face of Russian opposition, we will miss him. When Obama allows the UN to dictate our foreign policy, we will miss him. When the might of our Armed Forces is diminished due to Obama slashing military spending, we will miss him. However, the most frightening prospect is the possibility of another terrorist attack. If Obama does indeed repeal the Patriot Act and reduce the CIA to nothing more than a PR office, we may very well be hit again. My friends, I say again, we will miss him.
Despite Obama's hate filled anti-Bush rhetoric, Bush has been overly gracious to our incoming Socialist President. Make no mistake, Bush is not a fan of Obama or his big FDR style bailout plan, but he has refrained from publicly criticizing him. Like his conservative predecessors Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush, President Bush will respect the White House and the Office of the President. President Bush has promised, that unlike some liberal former presidents, he will exit the public stage and refrain from criticizing the incoming administration. He is politely referring to Bill Clinton's frequent public criticism of him and of course that of Jimmy Carter. Old Jimmy, debatably the most incompetent man to ever hold any office, STILL runs around acting as if he has some God given right to speak for our country. No, President Bush will not sink to that level.
George W. Bush has not been a perfect President. He himself admits to mistakes and disappointments during his two terms in the Oval Office. Bush has, however, always stuck to his beliefs and principles; he stood up for what he believed in. He has had the courage to take on tough issues and make tough decisions despite the political price he knew he would pay. His own party has paid a heavy price for his reluctance to bow to the pressure to do what was popular or politically correct. President George W. Bush has been anything but politically correct, and for that I thank him. I hope the good people of Crawford will be more accepting of the Bush family than the liberals in Washington have been.
Thank you President Bush, you will be missed.

I can't say this is really a Rant, more of an interesting observation. One of my current projects involves managing and training people for a national tax service. As you might imagine, the most frequently asked question is "how much is the new stimulus check?" When I tell them it's not going to be a CHECK this time they get all puzzled! "But Obama said..." As I educate them on the 2009 Stimulus Recovery Rebate from BUSH they seem really confused. "But Obama said..." They all get that look on their face when they realize there is no Obama CHECK, when they realize he lied to them, mislead them, call it what you want, they feel screwed! Guess what, they are screwed; they put their faith, hope, and future into a vote for Barack (the Messiah), because they thought they were going to get a CHECK! HELLO! This slime bag is no different than any other Chicago politician, spin it till they buy it. Scandals, pay offs, pay backs, investigations, back peddling, and just plain lies...and he's not even in office yet!

In an interesting article this morning, some Florida residents of housing built by Habitat for Humanity, are complaining that their houses are falling apart. They complain of cracking walls, mildew, rotting door frames, etc. These houses were built 8 years ago and given to these people for free! Look at it this way, if someone GIVES you a car, do you go back 8 years later to COMPLAIN that it's falling apart? The basic fact that homes need to be maintained has apparently escaped these ingrates. People who receive these gifts do not appreciate them because they didn't have to WORK to get them. If any of you have ever set foot inside public housing, and I don't recommend it, you know exactly what I'm talking about. They destroy the property, destroy the neighborhood, then demand better LIVING CONDITIONS! These losers do not deserve the gifts they were given. Sorry to break it too you folks, but no one owes you ANYTHING! I say we put the houses on E-bay and throw these complainers back in the streets where they came from.
